my new calculations
My calculation is still based on being told by a Lamar admin that Lamar will join the sbc.
My original prediction was Liberty, Lamar, and Missouri st. now

Lamar gets the invite to become 12th. Next year MSU and EKU becomes 13th and 14th to protect ccg.

Sorry Liberty, politics is keeping you out.

Liberty or not I just don't see Lamar getting in. It wouldn't be an eastern add so App wouldn't get that travel partner. And since TX State is already in the SBC how would this increase TV exposure?

I am pretty sure Lamar is not on the horizon regardless of your contact. UL, ULM, ASU, UALR, and TxSt are saying not so fast.

Thought the western teams have already said no to the possibility of any SLC teams.

Think you should check on your calculator before doing new calculations.

It's cool folks... I just did my own set of calculations.

According to my Pythagorean theorem, it appears... now brace yourself... A&M is leaving the SEC and Florida State is leaving the ACC to accept invites into the Sun Belt. This is on the heels of (again, brace yourself) UALR restarting football, and the west wanting a truly tight knit group. Florida State joining was really just done SOLELY to appease the east.

Sorry, Liberty & Lamar. You guys are left out this round.

Sorry, Liberty & Lamar. You guys are left out this round.

After several runs through my random number generator, I see LSU joining the Sun Belt. Apparently they're not pleased with the perception of the SEC for football.

No, internet gossip. I know for a fact ULL and TXST is in Lamar corner. Travel purpose, maybe ULM would too. ? on UTA. Although Lamar and ASU are traditional rivals, I did hear ASU may not be in Lamar corner on this one.
However USA will give Lamar a yes, I heard.

The SBC is constantly contradicting itself. No western team, then we hear msu. Shorten travel, add umass nmsu all sports. app st travel partner, yet no one in app st neighborhood to be true travel partner.

App State would like to have a fairly close full member Sun Belt school, but it is far more for the other SBC members to be able to save money with their Oly sports traveling.

The insane part is eastern schools wants nearby school for a tight sbc, while westerns fans wants far away schools.

I know for a fact that UL does not support Lamar or any other SLC program right now. You may have those facts confused with ULM. In fact, UL, Texas State and ASU have been pretty adamant about keeping the SLC block together at this time.

That is your personal opinion. BTW, you do know Texas st and Lamar have the same regents. Does it really make sense to you that they would help TXST improve but deny a partner school. Try again.

Then would it be fair to post pictures of what I think of when I hear schools named after southern confederate states? fair is fair right?
