My thoughts: BC is in worst shape than most realize. Spring roster was released and 18 scholie players are gone before their eligibility was used up. Assuming no injuries this Spring/Fall they have only 65 scholarship players on the roster (including incoming FR).

Also, think NC St will challenge for 3rd-5th. I think VTech finishes 3rd.

I could live with back-to-back 3rd place finishes in the Atlantic, especially if it meant a 3rd bowl game in a row (4 in 5 years). It's not perfect, but it would go a long way towards washing away the GRob-era image of SU being a bottom feeder, especially amongst 17-18 year old recruits who have memories that only go back about 8 years.

65 schollies, including incoming freshmen?? Don't believe that is accurate.

Just going off a thread on Cuse board...can you ask your buds? BTW, the 65 was just an approximation it could be a couple higher.

Boston College released its official spring roster on Tuesday, and there are 20 underclassmen who are not going through spring practice. Of those 20, only two are walk-ons.
As of right now, none of these players are expected to return to the program.

Freshman wide receiver Nigel Matthews
Sophomore defensive back Al Louis-Jean, Jr.
Junior wide receiver Spiffy Evans
Sophomore quarterback Christian Suntrup
Freshman quarterback Mack Lowrie
Freshman quarterback Austin Lommen
Junior running back Tahj Kimble
Junior defensive back James McCaffrey
Junior defensive back Ted Davenport
Junior tight end Carmen Dello Iacono*
Junior defensive back Spenser Rositano
Junior linebacker Connor Galligan*
Sophomore defensive lineman Kieran Borcich
Freshman linebacker Michael Gaffney
Sophomore offensive lineman Victor Nelson
Freshman offensive lineman Win Homer
Sophomore wide receiver Brian Miller
Sophomore wide receiver Marcus Grant
Junior tight end C.J. Parsons
Junior defensive lineman Dominic Appiah
*Indicates walk-on

So you must think Louisville is going to win at Clemson?

There are 68 guys on BC's spring 2014 roster (see attachment). While this includes 5 incoming players who enrolled in January, it does NOT include the other 23 incoming freshmen.

BC will be at or close to the schollie limits (with some walk-ons, like other teams).

So you must think Louisville is going to win at Clemson?

With Bobby Petrino running the offense scoring won't be the problem... Now if we can't stop them, then that's a whole other argument.03-nutkick

Eagle78: Thanks for the link...how many of those 68 are walk-ons? BTW, Cuse's Spring Roster is between 85-90 (includes walk-ons) for comparison.

Paul Johnson would not survive that. Mike London would not survive that.

And the endless swooning over UNC in the pre-season continues.

RE: Athlon Way Too Early ACC Fall Predictions
Here's some more accurate rankings.

We have a QB!
Florida State

We don't have a QB :(
Clemson

We have problems, but are competent
Louisville, Miami

ACC Wheel of Derp ... could be ranked or could finish with a losing season
Syracuse, North Carolina, Duke, Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech

I got 99 problems, but Mike London aint one
Boston College, NC State, Wake Forest, Pittsburgh

I got 99 problems, and they're all Mike London
Virginia
