isn't the term "raider" supposed to mean a pirate as well?
how come they didn't include oakland or the other d1 schools who use that term?
No, raiders can also refer to Vikings, Highway Men, or an group of people who attack another with aim of stealing property on land or sea. Buccaneers is a term that refers to Pirates.

It was pretty much promotion of ECU because they want to raise our brand-profile.
I'm kidding.. not sure why. At first glance it looks like the only D1 or professional raiders are Wright State, Colgate and Oakland. Wright state is some kind of wolf or dog, and Oakland's new mascot is terrible. Colgate would work (I'm assuming that's who sparked the idea since they're pretty close to 'cuse?).

after a quick google search:
the difference is:
pirates rob by sea
raiders rob by land
since this was in an office building to be accurate this commercial should be texas tech, MTSU, and oakland........

Ah..silly me for thinking Massey would include those in the list of "Raiders." Totally spaced out on that one, but they aren't Pirates.

The whole thing was Pirate themed, hence only Pirate themed teams.

Just STOP IT, please.
It was for fun......and it was fun.
Enjoy it.
Stop inspecting every ounce of info or video looking for a mistake someone may have made. Enjoy the video........it was really good.
You, of all people should understand that it's just a video. 90% of your posts are in the spin room or on the conference realignment board; where everything is just for giggles and make believe.
