Over the past 9 seasons, John has been to the Elite 8 or better, in 7 of them. In one of his two "off" seasons, he only managed a Sweet 16... And he did this with 2 different programs. I'm sorry, but no one else has had that level of success over the same stretch. Sure, over a lifetime of achievement, others might have accomplished more, but John is in his prime now and at the top of the heap.

Now if Tennessee is somehow able to win a national championship before we do...

That is when I will seriously begin to question everything I have ever believed to be right and true in this world.

I watch Kentucky because I figure those kids would be playing here if Cal was still here. That's all. Was pulling for Lville against KY.

I felt that way when he took Wall, Cousins, Bledsoe, et all with him to Kentucky. At this point it is all just speculation how the cards may or may not have fallen and what guys we would have if he were still here.

More than likely we would have close to the the same teams he's been having there.

The thing that made Cal what he is today is the one and dones.. As soon as that happened he took off.. Now with his track record of getting players in the NBA he could Coach at Podunk University and get the same players he is getting now, Kentucky has nothing to do with it!!

We [as opposed to Kentucky] would have been busted long before now; especially with the penalty/probation after the Derrick Rose affair.

He had the one and dones lined up here too, which is why I was pissed he left. We backed him. We took the hits. We took the chance. And just when he got things rolling, he decided he rather take his "refined" act to Lexington. That being said, there is no denying his ability to motivate, coach and win. Sure, he's shady, but then college basketball is a shady business.

If Cal had not left, we would have been placed on serious probation. So these guys would probably not ever wore a Tiger uniform.
