Watched it tonight, excellent film. Definitely our generation's "Philadelphia." It's gritty and real.

McConaughey and Leto definitely deserved their academy awards. The best performances of their careers.

Very good movie.

American Hustle on the other hand not so much. I turned that crap off after 45 minutes.

I'm hoping to watch DBC this weekend...it's one of the few Oscar nominated ones this year that I really want to see....12 Years A Slave is the other, but I think I'll need to psych myself up to watch that one, kind of like Schindler's List.

I had no idea what to expect from DBC, but wow.

American Hustle was crap.

Great, great, great movie.

In my mind, the line that won McConaughey the Oscar..

"I'm dying....."

You believed it. You felt it. SUCH a great performance from both him and Leto.

Agree with everyone. DBC was great, and American Hustle was crap.

My 3 favorite movies last year were DBC, 12 Years A Slave, and Her. Her is wonderful.

It got a 4.7 on IMDB...20% approval rating on RT...and the plot sounds like a facebook urban legend.

I still haven't seen DBC, Her, Captain Phillips, or even Gravity...I think I'll do movie night after the NIT Champ game.

We got all of the nominees for Best Picture on the street, down here for $US 2. I still think Philomena should have taken it all.

I've seen all the films nominated for Best Picture except for Her and Philomena. So far, the Wolf of Wall Street has been my favorite. American Hustle was disappointing.

Going to see that this weekend. We don't get out to as many movies anymore that don't include Grankids. That's the only way I get to see the sci fi stuff.

Noah is getting a lot of flack from the religious right. I want to see it as a movie, don't care if it is Biblically correct. Have any of you seen that?

Leonardo is on a roll, the last nine or ten films he has starred in have really impressed me with his talent. Especially Shutter Island and The Great Gatsby.

It's probably more biblical than the religious right will ever be able to fathom. They probably pass right over Genesis 6:4 all the time.

The story is pulled from the Bible old Jewish myth books.

That movie is so bad even religious nuts hate it.

Gatsby was great....and I normally HATE all Baz Luhrmann flicks. I think Moulin Rouge was one of the worst movies of all time.
