I think Charlotte would be ideal. They just built a minor league stadium in uptown. A lot to do in Charlotte, big airport and great weather. 04-cheers

If I recall correctly, El Paso was drawing 2 or 3 thousand for unaffiliated independent baseball last year.

CUSA might do it if El Paso cut them a big enough check, but it would be a mistake for the conference. There should always be a host school for the tournament. El Paso wouldn't have that for baseball.

I think a central location would be great in this scenario.

If I remember correctly the crowd on Fri was about 2500, Sat was 3500, and Sun some 2800, each game played while students were on break. That compares to 3-400 that shows up at Tech. There is a HUGE gap in some of the cbelt programs.

We are 10-27 and coming off two horrible years back to back

They are lucky if 100 are showing up

I'm so glad to know we haunt your every thought and breath...

Unless UTEP has a baseball team, I don't see how C-USA or any other league would put a tournament so far away from the conference footprint.

Check your record man. Not just horrible last two years but you have been playing little league ball for years. Remember 4-5yr ago when coach was accused of leaving sprinkler system on all night and had to call off the following last day game of season in order to stay under 40 losses?

Sorry to burst your bubble EE, but Tech won 5-1 at Texas A&M in front of 3,692 this season.

Tech might have been in awe watching a team actually being coached well. That should be changing for Tech within the next month or so.

I was responding to the comment about Rice and USM leading attendance and expanding on the vast difference between programs in the C-Belt. You mention the La Tech & Tex A&M game where a couple of hundred more were there and that's no big news since many Big 12, SEC, programs bring in more than USM-no big deal. We did that and more in days gone by before our guests like Louisville, Fla State, Memphis, Houston, etc were replaced by teams like La Tech, S Alabama, those who our fans care little about. We are headed downhill faster than a sled.
