Nice overall recruiting job by a lot of SEC schools.
Emfinger's rankings as of now
1) Southern Cal - avg. ranking of recruits (1-5) - 4.74
SEC teams
2) LSU - 4.57
7) Florida - 4.368
8) Georgia - 4.333
10) Tennessee - 4.26
13) Alabama - 4.071
18) Arkansas - 4.037
23) Ole Miss - 3.91
27) Auburn - 3.80
40) Miss. State - 3.62
47) Kentucky - 3.56
50) S. Carolina - 3.54
Who went up:
LSU - obvious reasons
Florida - Even with fans grumbling about Zook, FL is an easy recruiting base
Alabama - WTF? Shula has a bad season, but looks like he can recruit
Arkansas - Nutt turning down Nebraska started wave of blue-chippers to F'ville
Ole Miss - With MSU down, and OM getting above 7 wins, good year in Oxford
Miss. State - Good job for Croom, given Starkville's a very tough sell
Staying even:
Georgia - Mark Richt has good classes every year, this is no exception
Tennessee - Maybe a bit down, but Fat Phil, as we found out, can talk a lot
Kentucky - Basketball heaven, football...um... not so heavenly
Vanderbilt - Needs to recruit an AD first.
Fallling down:
Auburn - Trouble with Tele-Tubby, Lowder caused black cloud for recruits
South Carolina - The golden shine of Lou Holtz has faded....big time.

I don't think it is the Starkville is a tough sell, I mean yeah, it is boring but if you want to get an education then it ain't a hard sell at all. I think the real issue here is the potential NCAA sanctions that could be handed down. Not the best recruiting class we have ever had but I ain't complaining, looks like we got some solid players.

Not sure if you meant who went up from last season's recruiting class or just went up within the last few days, but LSU had the #1 recruiting class last year and the #2 this year, so how is that going up? LSU actually went down from last year, but it's still a good class.
