Today's offenses change everything. When one no huddle spread offense plays another you're going to get points, yards and a whole lot if plays. Duke finished the season ranked 23; they gave up 38 to a mediocre Gergia Tech team; 58 to Pitt; 48 to FSU; 52 to Texas A&M. Our Defense struggled last season, no doubt, however, Defenses in this era need to be judged/meadured by a completely different standard then in the past. 10 years ago a typical game had 120 plays, now, 160 play games are common. More plays, more points, more yards. Back in the day, the OLB only had to read the tight end to determine pass or run. Now the OLB has to respect the run option first; only after the run is option is completed can he release into his man coverage.... Not easy to do.

Its pretty amazing that rules could be enforced just to maximize Saban's chances of winning a national championship. For anyone who thinks Delaney is the most powerful man in college athletics, my vote would go toward Saban.
