SMU - NIT
Anyone else think the NIT will work out great for SMU for next year?

I think they've got to be the AAC favorites next year, and winning a NIT championship may give them that extra confidence / swag going into next year, not to mention extra games, practices and experience. First they have to hold on tonight.

They'll be a top 20 team next year.

Curious to see if they can win an NIT game when they are not on their home court.

RE: SMU - NIT
NIT is a great tournament for a team like SMU who has a lot parts returning next season and is learning to play big time basketball. Heck it might not be worst spot for UC next year if we take a step back because the Cats will have a ton of young players.

Mustangs and Huskies should be the conference favorites. Cincinnati, Memphis, Tulsa, and Houston could be in the mix too depending on how the rosters look going into next season. South Florida and Temple would be in my next group of teams followed by ECU, UCF, and Tulane.

That was a good game. Congrats SMU. Slow start, then back and forth. Free throws help at the end and that inbounds full-length play was a little edgy.

So tired of seeing the elder Pitino every time there's a dead ball.

Good season SMU 04-bow I doubt our team will overtake UConn and SMU next year. Definitely will be on the "too young, need to grow up" side.

Great game - great season! 04-cheers

You'll, most likely, be #2 behind UConn next season.
