I've gone a surprising 10 for 10 so far. I feel like tomorrow is going to be my downfall with St. Cloud vs Minnesota.... Not as confident in St. Cloud after today.
I watched that game. Ferris State dominated the game but still lost. If the ref had the balls to call a penalty on a blatant, dirty slew-foot in open ice committed by a NDak Goon directly in front of the ref's face, then the game probably wouldn't have ended when it did. It was during a stoppage in play and the winning goal was a minute or so afterward.

IDK, I saw that play and yes and while I didn't like the after whistle slew foot attempt, I also did't like the Ferris State player piniching the puck between his legs and not playing it with the hope he could get a whistle while in a grade B scoring area in his own zone. I'm sure there were some Soiux fans who were wanted to see a delay of game call there.
The correct call would of been penalities to both players, but right call was a no call for either.

Slew foot "attempt"? An attempt is something you try that doesn't work. This was not an attempt at a dirty play. It was an actual dirty play that could have resulted in a serious injury - The FSU player landed pretty violently. And I've never heard of a delay of game on a player when a puck gets caught up in his gear. NDak reminds me a lot of scUM in the way they play.

He was pinching the lose puck between his knees in order to get a whistle and it wasn't stuck in his equipment. That's probably why the ND player slew footed him after the whistle.
The ref should have never blown the whistle, he should have told the Ferris player to drop it and continuing playing the puck. Smart play by the Ferris player, playing a game of chicken with the ref and not allowing ND a opportunity to get a hold of a lose puck in the slot. Dumb play by the ND player risking a after whistle infraction
I like the no call either way, especially seeing how the refs were calling the game in OT
I do not condone what the FSU player did, but in terms of severity is is miles away from what the NDak player did. I guess since there was no concussion or massive amounts of blood on the ice, a reckless dirty play should go uncalled.
I don't care if it is overtime or near the end of a tied game in the playoffs. I hate seeing blatently dirty plays that have the potential to cause injury go uncalled. I know some folks have no problem with it. Just saying that I do.

Parks on UND is a cheap, dirty player,if he ever makes it to the next level he will stop that crap ,because he can't fight worth a crap.

Like I said, the correct call probably should of been a delay a game penality for the Ferris player and a match for the NoDak slew foot
Nut is correct, Parks is a cheap shot artist and if he is playing at the next level, he will be held accountable.
Speaking penalities, anyone happy to see Girmade get dinged twice during in the regional final for his holding the stick scam?? I love it!!!! I think the words out on this stunt. Hope refs remember it for next year.
