Beyond embarrassment
Miami at Indiana late in game. Stephenson makes move and gets to basket and scores. As he was walking down court yes he does say something to Wade about the free throw line on his way to the other end. The guy is across the mid court and trying to get the crowd into the game. The baseline official allows Heat players to talk him into calling the T. Nothign was called until Heat players surrounded the official.

RE: Beyond embarrassment
Wonder if NBA will have balls to suspend Lebron for his intentional elbow to the face of the Indiana player. Replay showed he clearly shoved his elbow into the face and NEVER attempted to shoot the ball. Ball was never touched on play and was in his hands when he came down.

RE: Beyond embarrassment
I can guarantee of the ref saw it to begin with it would've been a T. It is what it is

RE: Beyond embarrassment
The part that frustrates me about the Stephenson T is it was excessive celebration (or so they said). I just never saw Lebron get T'ed up when he stood staring down a Indy player and motioning "and 1" with his hand over and over again after a foul. I'm all for consistency. If the refs are going to be p-words on their T calls...do it on both sides.

That 2nd T on Born Ready was a load of horse ****. Love that kid. Anyone remember those documentaries from when he was in high school?

I think it showed exception restraint by the ref for not calling a foul on the Pacers player for fouling Lebron's elbow with his jaw...

Haha if you're going to call the foul on Lebron intentional then earlier when Scola hit Lebron's nose had to be also, which it wasn't called a flagrant. The Lance crap was unfortunate, he didn't deserve either tech. They need to stop calling those stupid double techs because it can have an impact if an incident occurs later in the game like what happened yesterday. He was basically tossed from the game because Wade walked over to him and shoved him and for yelling "what". Glad the Pacers overcame the Lance debacle and won.

Edit, I thought the officiating was very good outside of that moment.

Lebron never made an attempt at the shot. You could see him swing his arms in an attempt to make contact. Ball was never touched by anyone on the play and the only contact with him arms was his elbow being driven into the defenders face. Ball never elevated beyond where it was when he swung his elbow. Never released the ball nor did he lose control of the ball.

Scola probably wasn't making an attempt at the ball either when he hit lebron in the nose. He didn't get a flagrant and lebron did. Why are you complaining?

RE: Beyond embarrassment
It wass bad both ways. Lebron got flagranted twice by the Pacers and it wasn't called, the tech against Stephenson was ridiculous. Just bad officiating. Not unique to the NBA. We've seen a lot of that in the NFL this past season too.

For Lebron haters, Pacers won, and you got some blood from Lebron. I'd cash out while I was ahead. For Heat fans, the Heat turned it over too often, especially at critical times. The game was in their hands.
