Looks like LA Tech will be on the road once again.
Florida State leads Georgetown by 13 with 3:39 to go.

And ODU is moving on as they beat Radford 82-59.

We beat FSU in the NIT in Tallahassee then faced USM last year. Hopefully we can do it again...with a different result in the USM game.

Heck, I was hoping to see the reaction of those striped suit lawyer bureaucrats from Washington as they disembarked the stage coach in Dogpatch for that Tech encounter.

You got it. I was hoping they would accept an invite to go hog or wabbit hunting in order to have something to do rather than just stare at beautiful downtown Dogpatch from the second floor of Motel 6.

eager eagle has some sort of www notification system. If anyone, anywhere, says anything good about Tech, he feels it his duty to show up and take a whiz.

Ya gotta admit that that was funny. The best comedy is always based in truth.

Stereotypes usually are.

I figure if you want to go to college in a big, fancy city with all the lights and noise and get lost in all the crowds, there's a ton of those.

If you want to go to college in a traditional, quintessentially-Southern college town that caters to the hometown University and where its citizens embrace you like family, Ruston and LaTech are a great choice. Oh yeah...you'll get a top tier education there too. Even EE can't truthfully deny that Tech's a very, very good school.

Nasty would you educate me as to what ways you consider USM and La Tech to be mirror images? I would assume you are aware that they have only about 6500 full time under grads compared to 12,500 at USM, they rely on state taxpayer to provide half or more of the funds to cover their annual athletic losses (around $8mil or more annually), they only average about 1,000 PAYING fans at home basketball games, $150,000 average gate receipts at home football games (forget announced attendance-how many fans paid at $20. per ticket-7500), active paid alumni members at usm is over 21,000, about 3500 at Tech, and I could go on and on. Is this what you call mirror image? Edit note-I forgot to mention that USM fans and supporters dug up and contributed over $70mil in past 10yrs to their program and facilities whereby Techs numbers would be less than $5mi. but this does not include their end zone project that began about 4yr ago, fizzled due to lack of contributions but they revitalized with the passage of student fees that will cover more than half the cost. That project should get off the ground soon but downsized considerably from original plans, actual bldg. cost in $14mil range so we shall see what they can construct with that.

I think he's talking about low-budget, 2nd fiddle to the SEC school(s) in the state, who historically do better than most and with less resources than most.
