Fun game, committee should feel ridiculous leaving SMU out.

best quote I have seen. It sucks we got left out, but for a team in the wilderness for 20 plus years, NIT is the perfect stepping stone for us.

Hell, SMU should be favored to win the AAC next year. We will play out the NIT, and build on it.

I am happy to be here.

Congratulations SMU!!!! I am not one of those Tulane fans who hates LSU, but it is always great to see a school similar to ours (joined at the hip according to our A.D.) do well in a game like this. I didn't realize just how large of a margin y'all won by! Please have your school send over a blue print of how to build up a basketball program! Keep it up!

OMG!! Home games at SMU are off the charts right now, and as a long time season ticket holder I never in my wildest dreams imagined this could ever happen. It really sucks that we got hosed by the committee, but in reality this whole NIT thing might have been a great stepping stone and blessing in disguise.

Thanks for all of the props fellow AAC members!! Lets win this thing!!

This is such a great thread to read and gives me hope for ECU hoops. I'm excited to see who Houston hires now. Hope we can keep up.

RE: SMU-LSU (NIT) Gamethread
Not gonna lie. . . When I was waiting for SMU's name to get announced for March Madness, and didn't get announced. I was pissed, and most definitely expressed it. For as long as I have waited (since 93), it was a nutshot. If anybody was offended, I apologize.

Like 94 and some other posters have mentioned. Agree 100%, the NIT gives SMU and their fanbase some good experience. . . And thanks to the other AAC members for their support.04-cheers04-bow

Ah, corndogs are one item I wish were more common at Northeast sporting events.

EDIT: And now I read the rest of the thread and I find people joking about corndogs. You know how hard it is to find a good corndog in Jersey? DO YA? It's hard, man. Tragically hard.

Wish I had watched this game, the environment sounds like it was tremendous.

Lmao. This is the post of the year. Fwiw they aren't really popular here either. It's why Lsu won't do a H and H.
