I thought the Barclay Center was over the river in Jersey? We saw the Stones there just last winter.

I will say this much: if you refuse to benefit from crooked politics, they you must stop buying gasoline, stop driving on paved roads, and never buy any food made with dairy, corn, or wheat. (and that list is by no means exhaustive). We live in a political/economic system (not just one party, the whole system) which is so messed up that protesting one issue is like bailing water out of the Titanic with a spoon...

just my 2 cents.

Barclays Center (Nets, etc.) is in Brooklyn.

Prudential Center (Devils, Seton Hall) is in Newark.

I guess that just goes to prove one large basketball arena is just like another. 04-cheers

Notice that there hasn't been any official announcement from the ACC re: Barclay's. The venues are chosen by the AD's and the faculty representatives, I wouldn't look for anything before May. FWIU the Barclay's move is not a done deal.

I'd still prefer MSG over Barclays, but the conference must be in a hurry to move the tournament to New York as soon as they can.

As Gen Nathan Bedford Forrest, CSA said, "Getting there firstest with the mostest," In other-words...getting there first is a huge part of the success of the battle. If the B1G doesn't get to NYC before '17 the ACC has out maneuvered them.

The ACC Tourney will blow away the Big East...ESPN will "pimp the sh!t" out of it over the Big East Tourney running at the same time.

I agree with MSG being the better locale...but the BE agreement with MSG is pretty airtight...stupid Dolan's.

So basically the city will claim eminent domain against the Big East in MSG. Makes sense; thanks for sharing this great news!

"Is Barclays really worth being associated with this?"

Unequivocally, yes. Without question. This is a Barclay's Center/Bruce Ratner/Brooklyn Nets issue, not an ACC issue.

RE: Is Barclays really worth being associated with this?
When the agreement between the conference and the Garden was announced, I thought part of the agreement was an out clause for MSG and the Big East, with one being an attendance clause... then over the past few weeks its been a drum beat from Big East fans that it is an airtight contract. Is that wishful thinking or true? Has anyone seen it?

Could all this Barclay talk to try and push MSG to trigger an escape clause?
