Calling Lionel Hollins?
I seriously doubt he would take the job, and I definitely don't think Pastner is in danger of losing it this year (though he should), what do you think of Lionel Hollins as Tiger head coach?

Would he have what it takes to recruit?

Calling Lionel Hollins?
Recruiting? I don't know, but I gotta think that Memphis still can recruit itself, especially now we are in a new conference. One thing Pastner has shown us that recruiting doesn't mean much if you can't coach, in terms of winning big. Hollins teams will D you up, which Pastner led teams don't . Also, you surround Hollins with Pastner like up starts who will know not only who are the most talented recruits, but kids who fit the Hollins system. But, thus may all be moot, as I think Hollins wants an NBA job and Pastner won't be going anywhere anytime soon.

One thing we will see though, is that Pastner 's recruiting touch is about to slip. He us not getting the types of talent that can win big, just hyped up talent. But since he can't coach, he won't win big.

RE: Calling Lionel Hollins?
Hollins,by his own admission, hates college basketball. And said he didn't even watch his son play.

That's the guy I want!

Hollins would not even take the call from any college program.

No chance in that happening but I guarantee Lionel would have developed Joe and gotten more fire these guys. They are all too soft.

As I've said before Josh is our Mike Shula. Good recruiter but just not up to the job. Did you see that pregame speech??

RE: Calling Lionel Hollins?
Lionel Hollins is 60 years old, hasn't worked college ball in twenty years, and wouldn't recruit.

Would not be a good hire.

Take a million from Josh's salary and pay him 2 million to be a "assistant" coach.

I bet we defend then.

Hollins would win big here, but I doubt he's interested in a college job.

Lionel said the college game is too boring for him to even watch his kid play. So there is your answer.

Nick King made my day when he called JJ out for not defended and JJ cussed him on national TV.

Talk about fulfilling a stereotype.

I wonder what the Collegiate Black Man in all his blackness has to say about that.

I noted that this maybe a moot point with Hollins, he's clearly an NBA guy. But I think that he is a local talent that the University could at least tap for some insight into how to help with the on court production of this team. Off court, you couldn't ask for more, but "Academic final fours" don't put banners in the forum.

Just curious, and for levity, what makes my screen name asinine?

Why does it matter if you are black or white or tan or blonde or have jerry curls. Your agenda is for bottom feeders.

Really, what about my screen name points to an "agenda for bottom feeders". Are we projecting much?
