Especially at the tune of $2.5 million or more per year.

Dude...nobody outside of Memphis really knows who Larry Finch is. I along with 85% of other Tiger fans knew it was the end for Larry and rightfully so. It's awful but his health didn't allow him to be a D1 major coach. If so why wasn't he hired by someone else? Even Georgia State turned Larry down. Then there was anther really low basketball school that turned him down. It may have been a D2 college.

That said I believe most would agree that the ONLY reason Josh will be back next year is because we can't afford to buy out his deal. It was SO stupid of RC to give him the contract he has. RC was just terrible.

Dude, if you read the post, I said it wasn't because these coaches were aware of Finch - it's because Memphis is Memphis. Now, you can read into that what you will, but I will add that there are some coaches who might be great hires who would never get a fair shake in Memphis from a sizable number of "fans" because of who they are and how Memphis is. It's a shame for Memphis, but it is what it is.
