Let say you had a time machine....
back in early march that allowed you to have a look at the march madness results.

but there are two catches

-you can only see the results of 2 rounds. example final four & sweet 16

-you will only know the team who won and not the team they beat. example you will know that Dayton gets to the s16 but you will not know if they beat cuse or WMU to get there.

to fill out a perfect bracket......

1. what would be the two best rounds to chose?

2. what would the odds of filling out a prefect bracket be reduced to?

I would use it for something other than checking basketball scores. 04-rock

hey read the thread04-chairshot

this is a "special" time machine that can only be used for basketball.

trust me if someone gave you such broad use of a time machine you couldn't go 5 min. before somehow screwing up world history. 05-stirthepot

I would definitely be the father of Sofia Vergaras child.

I will have to see how far either Dayton, Stanford or Tennessee progress to answer this question.

So many great Twilight Zone episodes build around that idea. Steven King's book "11/22/63" is, too.

The results of the first round would be a must. There are too many upsets to not choose that as one. Then I'd do the sweet 16 or the elite 8 results.

There would be perfect brackets for sure.

if you got 2 rounds- first 2 would be the easy ones.. From that, you'd have to pick 15 games right. It'd be very doable at that point.. I mean if you do a pool starting now, 15-0 is very possible I'd guess.....

Sure, you odds go from 1 in a quadrillion to only 1 in 32,000.

That is much more do-able but it's still onlyl 1 in 32,000. Can you fill out 32,000 brackets yourself?

This...the first two rounds are key...it usually strikes midnight for Cinderella in the Sweet 16. A few make it through (Wichita St, VCU, George Mason, Butler) but most die.
