Classes often don't live up. It sux to be on this end of it, but it's not uncommon. Duke and UNC are loaded from recruiting perspectives but have been down as well. It definitely sux but this group isn't the first recruiting bust and won't be the last.

So you beleive EVERY CLASS that Pastner has recruited has just been one of those "they didn't pan out" classes?

I don't understand the question: who is "better" than we've seen? They've all been decent, as was Barton (top 5 recruit), Adonis (top 5 recruit), King (top 25), Nichols (top 25), Shaq (top 25), Geron (top JuCo). None of them have been more than that though, which is the freaking point of the thread.

They've all been decent, as was Barton (top 5 recruit), Adonis (top 5 recruit), King (top 25), Nichols (top 25), Shaq (top 25), Geron (top JuCo). It's all based on perspective. You say he should've raised them to a top 5 level, which apparently is where they started. I say that they didn't start there and they got better.

It just depends on your opinion of the players to start. I can name differences in players. But none of them became superstars and that is really the problem that everyone has with this group.

Adonis, Will, Tarik, Nichols, Shaq are not superstar players no one is going to make them superstars.

I've seen growth in the games of Will B and GJ big time during their time here. But I also think that they had the highest motors of any of the players from the last few years. They seem to want it more than the others.

I think it just depends on your perspective.

We are a pretty good team. We just got beat by what many consider one of the top 5 teams in the tourney. Stuff happens. Athletes versus basketball players.

We are 1 elite player away from being an elite team. For the last 2 years, we haven't had a guy who could score or get to the foul line when we had to have it. Just the way it is.

Teams that have humiliated us (Cincinnati twice, UCONN three times, Virginia, et al) have done so without that "elite" player. What do YOU think the difference is? I'll give you a hint...COACHING!!!

GJ...I assume you are talking about Geron Johnson...

Geron was better last year than this year on the offensive end without question and Adonis was at least called up by the league but while he was here he looked nothing like an NBA caliber player.

Didn't check all you numbers, but Rivals didn't rank Barton or Adonis as top 5.
