Yes, but we do turn people over, so we're only mediocre.

If the reverse was true (we never turned anyone over but got almost every defensive rebound) we'd still be mediocre.

Because they still used Cal's defensive philosophy.

Not to muddy the water with facts, but it was last year's (15th in kenpom) followed by Barton's 2nd year (18th kenpom) that were our best defensively.

Pastner's first year was our worst defensively (163rd kenpom).

But continue.

You are a stat man...I am someone who looks at something for what it is...We are a poor defensive team...But agree to disagree

If you look at it from the perspective of strictly tourney level teams, I agree that we are bad. But out of the high-major teams, we are just mediocre.

Next year we got 3 Memphis players? M. Crawford, King and Nichols? It will be interesting to see if toughness goes up.

KenPom can be deceiving...We are obviously not the 50th best defensive team in the country this year...If we don't turn you over we allow you to score or we foul you...

Bartons last year was probably the best defensive team Pastner has had...Last year was not great also...Was better than this year of course

Yes. Please don't muddy these crystal clear waters with the facts.

Stokes has played well against an Iowa team who lost 4 out of their last 5, a over seeded UMASS team and Mercer. Give it a rest.

King is tough as hell...By all accounts Crawford#2 is a DOG now Nichols is soft right now so this is not really fair...There are tough Memphis kids and there are kids from Memphis who are not tough...But I think Pastner castrates these kids by pulling them so quickly when they make mistakes while being aggressive. JJ is passive...CC is passive...GJ is passive on the offensive end...They seem like they are playing not to make mistakes instead of playing to make plays.

This team has definetely been the worst at protecting the rim that I have seen in a long time. People score on A. Nichols at will.
