Sweet Sixteen and runs its record to 7 and 0 in the big tourney. Looks like basketball refuses to take a back seat to football and baseball in that conference.

to be fair though...UT wouldn't have beaten Duke in the NCAA tourney. UT got a major gift by Duke laying that egg against Mercer.
The best part is that it will keep Cuonzo at UT...and keep them mediocre for years to come.

The tournament comes down to matchups. It's doesn't have any bearing on what happened during the regular season, good or bad.

I do remember being ridiculed earlier this season for saying I thought this UT team could make the tourney...this is Cuonzo's best team...much like the talent Memphis has at the moment is the best we have had under Coach Pastner.

UTK given a gift draw with UMASS, then gets the upset of Duke. But I guess know we will hear how their program is on the rise.

Why are they bothering to play the games? They could have just had you turn your bracket over to the NCAA last weekend and crown the champion then.

They could not have gotten a better draw.

I will suggest that. UT has been a very hot team for weeks. And Mercer beat them. Could they? Yep. I know Virginia agrees.

you know you cannot always go by that.
UAB beat North Carolina this year...we'd beat UAB and steal their lunch money if we played them.
