Sag off Geron, force him to try the three, if he drives, plant feet and take the charge. Switch on screens, let them catch the ball in the high post and double on Shaq off JJ and GJ unless JJ hits a few from outside. Only cover CC and Dixon outside. Front the low post with weak side help from the wing on the back.

Domin8 the paint....Shaq seems to focus on avoiding foul-trouble,conversely, it seems to cause him to play more tentative allowing easy access to the rim for opposing bigs...

Be patient on offense...

Go under every screen on defense and pack it in...Memphis doesn't shoot well from the outside and rarely shoots a mid range pull up jumper. It is normally 3's or drives all the way to the basket.

Like UVA already plays every night. UVA coach has stressed all season to his team to keep the opponent in front of them & make the opponent beat them from outside. Unfortunately UVA also plays tough perimeter D & has a slow deliberate offense. This will cut our offensive possession opportunities by almost 20% on average. So we will have to make our opportunities pay.
