NCAA Roundof 32 Games
Anyone else think it is ironic how often Doug Gottlieb likes to mention the Harvard players who were caught in the cheating scandal last year?

Great second half for Harvard. Michigan State not looking so invincible at the moment.

RE: NCAA Roundof 32 Games
I like how the comeback from the cheating scandal is painted as an inspirational story, only because it's Harvard. You think the media would talk the same way about a similar story that affected UC or Memphis?

UConn looking good. UC is the only blemish for the AAC so far.

Shabazz is getting the ball every time down the court and taking advantage of it. If only UC and Sean had done the same thing.

And the Huskies show how free throw shooting and relying on your All American can lead to a Sweet Sixteen Appearance. AAC now has more teams left that the ACC. It's a shame the committee put 3 teams from the same conference in the East region.

Michigan State is beatable. They didn't look so national champion invincible to me. Harvard had them on the ropes. They pulled it out but not easily.

Before the games started, I would traded draws with UConn. I wasn't that off in that prediction. Forget seeding it always about who you play and where you play them.

Kansas proves what I've been saying for 2 weeks. No way they were a 2 seed.

This Wichita State team is an absolute joy to watch. So active, run such good offense.

Same with UC, don't feed your All American the ball enough and don't finish on easy layups, you're not going to win in the tourney.

Duke and Kansas lost way too many games, no way either of them should have been any higher than a four seed.

That's where a selection committee of basketball people would make somewhat of a difference. Administators are too influenced by name teams.

I feel a little bad for ISU and Kansas. They were both legitimate Elite 8 candidates before injuries damaged their chances.

I take full credit for ISU tying the game. I had to try something, they're my Elite 8 team. :)

Crieghton getting rolled by Baylor. Looks like "The Big East" won't have a team make it to the Sweet Sixteen.

Justice. Their 1st and second place teams getting a 2 and 3 seed to the AAC's cochamps getting 4 and 5 seeds was another committee FAIL.

If you told me a couple weeks ago Tennessee, Kentucky and Baylor were going to the Sweet 16, I would have suspected you had a drug addiction.

Not to mention Stanford...

Tennessee, Kentucky, and Baylor were suppose to very good if look at preseason picks. Sometimes real talent wins out.

I posted a few days ago that I didn't expect the BE to put a team in the Final Four for the first time in a long time; had no idea they couldn't get one to the Sweet Sixteen. When's the last time that happened? I suppose there will be lots of angst on Victory Parkway with this development, Buzz leaving Marquette for greener pastures in the ACC and replays of "Requiem for the Big East" dancing in their heads as two AAC teams play on.
