The way the bracket has shaped up now, the teams are very familiar to Mercer. Last season Mercer ended Tennessee's year with an NIT victory. The win was a somewhat easy game for Mercer and it was AT Tennessee. This year on a neutral floor that fuels Mercer's chances even more.

I'll be there! But you'll have to forgive me... I'll be in the arena the whole evening, but I'll be watching our game which will be going on during the first half of your game. I'll be watching both on the TVs in PNC Arena... but once our game is over, I'll go inside and watch yours. Promise! :)

This is a much different scenario than last year. You have to remember Tennessee was pretty down after getting snubbed from the NCAA's, which most felt they'd done enough to get in. They've become stifling defensively the last month or so, and Darius Thompson actually showed a pulse coming off the bench for the first time all season. You take that, plus Brown's concussion along with the idea that Barton isn't going to play as bad this game.
The light switch clicked on that ya'll can play, Tennessee will be "up" with a shot at the Sweet 16 and a chance to shut its' own fan base up.

True, but Mercer is better now than last year as well. I feel bad for Monty Brown and I hope he is doing OK. The team will miss his presence on the floor.

All the pressure is on Tennessee, and the crowd will be ready to root against UT early and often! Mercer sent 10 bus loads of students for this one!

Yea we beat duke now we should beat the vols by double digits. They have no chance against our talent. We will man handle Stokes & Maymon in the paint. This game will be a walk in the park. No worries. As long as we show up we will win.

Gotta tip your hat to the Vols in the first half, they were dominant. Mercer still has a shot to get back into this, but there's really no need to break down the first half. UT was on fire. In the 2nd half need to find a way to D up a little better... maybe let someone loose that wasn't on the scouting report. Throw something new at them.

An amazing season by these guys! They really gave us an incredible run to follow, and we'll never forget it. These seniors and the team have a ton to be proud of, and we couldn't be more proud of them. I wouldn't want any other team to root for!! Also, gotta shake Tennessee's hand for a game well played.

The future is bright for Mercer moving forward.

Nobody will ever take away what you did Friday... I'll never forget that day. Congrats on a memorable season... when you play at UNCG next year, you better believe I'll be there. :)

Great game and season for the Bears. Didn't much have an answer for UT's big men, but they gave it everything they had out there.

Looking forward to their entry into the SoCon.
