Ratface gets his due
Krzyzewski's act has grown tiring over the years. There's the blatant hypocrisy of cheerleading for the ACC pilaging the BE, but then bemoaning about what conference realignment is doing to college athletics when the B1G takes Maryland from the ACC. His classless comments about the A10 recently, also were not surprising. Never mind the fact that the six A10 teams to make the tournament were a combined 8-2 against the ACC this year. Never mind that over the past four years the ACC has outnumbered the A10 in tournament bids by one 19-18, and if the Big East cavalry of Syracuse and Pitt hadn't arrived this year, it would have been the A10 ahead by one instead. There's no denying the ACC is a great basketball conference, and if he wants to talk up their teams fine, but he crossed the line when he disparaged the A10. There is such an unlevel playing field in college athletics, and what the A10 has done with the disadvantages concerning exposure and money is to be commended. Instead Ratface tries to diminish their achievements. Maybe instead of focusing on the A10, he should have been more concerned with the Atlantic Sun. That he's been bounced from the tournament for the second time in three years by a 14 seed couldn't happen to a better guy.

Are you a Nova or a Providence fan?

BTW, the 8-2 record...can you list the games?

The A-10 is a VG league...probably better than the Big East and the AAC this year top to bottom.

K is a myopic douche as are plenty of other coaches. Chris Mack did the same thing as K with his comments about how Georgetown would have fared in the A10 this year. This is the same Xavier program that always took great offense at any perceived slight of Xavier or the A10. It's always fun watching Duke lose, especially flameouts against low seeds cough* Lehigh *cough.

He's a coach. Like everyone else he's neither all good nor all bad. Those who want to see the bad will see the bad; those that want to see the good will see the good.

I don't know the games, but I know VCU was 3-0 against the ACC with a win over UVA.

SLU beat NC State last night too obviously, but I'm not sure if that is counted in the stats he mentioned.

Chris Mack is just a terrible coach. At least K has some kind of stock in the college basketball world. It's refreshing to watch Mack run X's program into the ground.

VCU beat BC, UVA, and VT. GW beat Maryland and Miami, UMass beat BC and Clemson, Dayton beat Georgia Tech. The two ACC wins that I remember are FSU over Vcu and UMass so I think the 8-2 record is from A-10 teams that were in the tournament. Not sure how the bottom of the league fared.

RE: Ratface gets his due
Coach K gets really intense during basketball games and I think it's starting to take a toll on him. His players respect him and his past players speak highly of him. I think he is just very emotional about basketball and has a high need to succeed. He's no cheater though and to my knowledge runs a pretty clean/respectable program. Lobbying for his team/his conference is what any good coach should do. He just has a big voice so it's heard the loudest. I've heard him speak through church functions, etc. and have nothing but respect for the guy. He's a very motivational speaker and does what he thinks is necessary to succeed. I don't necessarily like Duke, their crazy fans and the way the refs act at cameron, but Coach K is alright in my book.

I find most folks that refer to him as Ratface and live in NC are actually admitted or closeted Tarhole fans..................just saying.

I have a lot more respect for Coach K than I do that Deputy Dog looking weasel in Chapel Hill, or the mouthy jackleg in Syracuse.

Duke gets basically a home court for first round.

They are seeded way higher than they deserved - a non-Duke team with the season they had would be on the 6 or 7 line

The refs did everything they could to give the game to Duke.

Didn't matter - Dook lost. Again...

More impressively, not one of these games was at home for an A10 team, all on the road since the ACC won't play at their place. Wonder what the score would have been if instead the A10 had them all at home.
