And our outgoing HSC provost/medical college dean/chancellor Jeff Gold. He never moved his family here from New York City. Just making a stopover in Toledo.

I hope this puts an end to one of the many rumors that have persisted over the years. I can speak to this one with great certainty as I am his wife and a long time member of this board.

I don't believe you live IN the City of Detroit.........

I really don't care where he lives. I know he used to have a farm in Michigan which is fine with me. I know a few employees of The University of Toledo that live in Michigan. One being my sister, and that doesn't affect how she performs her job at all.

That being said, I like Doc, as I call him (to his face even), and think he has been great for MY university. Maybe some things have gone wrong. Maybe some decisions made were wrong. But that's the life of a business leader. Yes, The University Of Toledo is a Multi Million Dollar business, with lots of parts, departments, and people. Not everyone can be happy at all times. Do the best with what you have and know.

In conclusion, I'm sad to see him go. Obviously you have stated YOUR opinion , and I will not change mine.

+1, Terry. So, DR, are you saying his wife is lieing as well? If she's like me she knows where she lives and wouldn't lie since it would be incredibly easy to disprove.

Dr. Jacobs is a public figure, and one about whom people have strong opinions. I don't think it's any surprise to him or to his wife that there are some people in the university community who will be glad to see him go.

As a Dean's List Student while at UT, I can tell you about a number of prof's that
I hope are rotting in hell because of their treatment of students.
