Who's leaving the bball team?
Tweets from autullo make it sound like someone's leaving.

@AutulloBlade: Per Baltimore Sun, UT picks up commitment from Baltimore PG Kamau Stokes http://t.co/Q1KGcil9JK

@AutulloBlade: Stoke has been on radar for some time. UT without a scholarship available for the time being but that will change.

Unfortunately that will probably be the case.

Interesting to note, Kamau Stokes also had offers from Delaware and Mount St. Mary's, both of those teams advanced to this year's NCAA tournament.

2 things I like best in that article:

"A tenacious defender and effective outside shooter"

I thought we were likely to get a big man for next year who can play immediately because he has already graduated. Has there been a change in plans or are two scholarships opening up?

What happens to Josh Lemons who redshirted this year? He was preparing to be the next PG.

RE: Who's leaving the bball team?
I think it was a mistake for Lemons to have redshirted. Our weakness all year was defense. He might have given us at least one and maybe two more wins if he had played. Juice got tired in the last third of the season and his productivity really dropped. He especially took it easy on defense. Having Lemons to give him breathers would have really helped. Drummond is not really a PG.

TK has been on the lookout for Juice's replacement. Lemons was not in the picture

You guys are high on Lemons? Don't get it, he was virtually undetectable on Offense last year. Active on D, but it was 4-5 everytime we were at our bucket. At least Jon-Jon looks for a shot?

If we get this kid and a transfer big, IMO it wouldn't be a loss if Williams and the Spainaird moved on. I'm sure they are good kids and someone needs a really young, undersized forward, RS sophomore and a lanky foreign kid with a rumored 3 pt shot.

Juice either wants to play to the best of his ability, or he doesn't. IMO.

Now if they can get a legit big to deal with our lack of depth at c, pf. I hope Lemmon is still with the team we need his defense. Defense at point would have won us a few games this yr.

I would guess Aparicio will be the one leaving probaby will play Pro ball in Spain but this is a guess only no inside knowledge. My next guess would be Lemon because we are bring in a guard who he would compete with I still think that with him redshirting this in unlikely.

I say Williams. He could probably get big minutes at an NAIA school or DIii. If he wants to play could be a win-win if UT helps find a situation for him.

I hope Williams stays. He has the ability to come in off the bench and throw daggers from the 3 point line. At times, he was one of the only players with his head still in the game, while others were floundering on offense.

We are speaking of Aubrey Williams not Jon Jon. With the scoring power of the team this yr. Lemmon wouldn't need to be a scorer. It would be great to have him come off the bench to deal with the penetration that U T had so much trouble with this yr.

RE: Who's leaving the bball team?
Both Aubrey and Aparicio seemed like somewhat odd pick-ups when they came here. I agree with H2O that Aubrey would probably play much more at a lower division school. I know he's young and graduated HS early, but he also played a season at IMG prep AND red-shirted his first year here, and still didn't get on the floor much. As for Aparicio, he hasn't played in a real game for what, 2 years now? Have to be concerned about how well he's recovered from the injury and how rusty he is. The only reason he would play much is if he can hit the 3 with more consistency than others. [/align]

Like rocketdork said-
AUBREY Williams.;} Don't want to lose Jon Jon. Jon Jon is going to be a big scorer in this league.

I agree with you. A team doesn't need five scorers on the floor. I think that Lemons could have helped us this year. Coach K loves offense.
