He's right. I did forget to ask his permission before I posted about Mike Davis, so that's completely on me.

What does that mean?

Mine didn't mean much. Sometimes I just like to lob a grenade out there and see what happens.

Did you talk trash to him on FB about mike Davis?

I admire his loyalty to his coach, but he really shouldn't pay attention to message board posters.

AJ is a beloved Blazer who's loyal to his coach, which makes me like him more.

Davis' record is what it is, though, and fair game for conversation.

We sometimes forget that the people we talk about read what we write, and so do the people who love them.

Love AJ. One of my all time favorite players. And he's right of course, but I don't think anyone's been hating on Davis. It is OK to talk about him and his career, however. I wish him and AJ all the best.

It's a free country. As long as we keep it civil and respectful, we're free to talk about AJ's coach's career, and AJ is free to take exception to it.

if Davis gave me a full scholarship, I would be defending him tooth and nail.

AJ was the best and still is. I don't blame him one bit.

I'm a fan though.

Never will forget the Memphis game in 2008 at the Forum when the rest of the team gave up in the first half. AJ came out after the half to play, even though we were down by 28 points. Developed a new found respect for the guy that day.

No one can argue that Bruce Pearl isn't a major upgrade for the state of Alabama basketball. It remains to be seen how well he can accomplish the high goals his admirers have now set for Auburn BB. So far he has won only the press conference / pep rally where he was officially presented. The harder part starts now as he finds out if he can attract top BB talent to AU. Late signing date is next month.

Who was the best team in the state this season? KenPom has Alabama and Auburn ranked ahead of us despite losing records. Every other D1 school was near the bottom. Just a terrible year for basketball in the state.
