Seems about right, based on who's returning and the new teams coming in. I think the top 4 teams are a notch above the rest at this time with Tulane as the wild card.

Tulane has a chance to be good next year. Anyone who thinks they are going to be an extremely easy win, especially on the road, is going to be in for a rude awakening.

I actually saw enough out of Memphis to think that they might be kind of good this upcoming season. If their quarterback can be a little better with his decision making this year then Memphis can finish 5th or maybe even a little higher. Don't sleep on Memphis.

You gotta think USF will be turned around quickly too.

Tulsa's collapse last season was a head scratcher

eh. I don't expect UConn to be picked to win anything, but considering we finished 6th last year, fired ourcoach because we were unsatisfied suggests to me that this team is not going to be sliding to 10th.

I agree. Too low for UConn. But who do you move down?
Tulane is too high for me. I wasn't that impressed with them last year. Offense struggled at times.

The collapse has been thought to be a lack of talent retained in Todd Graham's last year and Blankenship's first year. Which added up to a lot of losses.

June can take his overhead projector with him back to the Hawaiian Islands after this year.

Yeah, at all times.
But we have a new QB this year, who coaches are very high on. Montana and Powell, who played last year, will be on the bench.
The thing about defense is, it keeps you in pretty much every game, which even with a poor offense, gives you a chance to win your fair share.
Tulane's defense was 6th in the country in yards per carry against.

I don't think that tulsa will finish bottom of the conference, but I wouldn't put us above the top 4-5

I think East Carolina might be a bit high, no offense, Pirates.

Plus the OL was a disaster but CJ's recruits are finally making their way to the starting lineup.

RE: FanSpeak.com's AAC early football preview (Tulane picked 5th)
"Virtually everyone is in love with the offense, led by sophomore quarterback Mike White and receiver Andre Davis. This team shouldn't have much of a problem scoring in 2014. However, a huge fault was found in South Florida a year ago when it couldn't produce a pass rush or stop the run"
Either this guy is expecting a huge turn around, or he didn't watch one offensive series by USF last year.

Representing the mid-majors this fall in post-season, you got to just love that.

and taggart was talking about winning the conference championship preseason last year and tried to get everyone on the "bus"
ill wait for to see the actual product on the field .
and usf couldn't stop the run but definitely had a pass rush last season, an "on paper" the most talented dline with dede and lynch,

Or this quote:
Tulsa absolutely needs to find some consistency at quarterback if it doesn't want to be at the very bottom of a weak conference like the AAC

I know, I know, it just spring football, but everything we've been hearing/seeing out of USF is that the offense is vastly better this spring, led by Mike White, and will see huge dramatic improvements this fall. Again, I know spring reports can be misleading and are to be taken with a grain of salt, but that is the report so far. Not kidding.
