Weak OOC Schedule Was Overlooked Here
NC State played all these OOC teams at home:

1) Appalachian State
2) Campbell
3) NC Central
4) Florida Gulf Coast
5) E. Kentucky
6) Long Beach State
7) Detroit

and NC Greensboro away. Finishing 9 and 9 in the ACC deserves some consideration but at 21 and 13 overal and that OOC schedule how did they get in and not SMU at 12 and 6 in conference and 23 and 9 overall?

The committee president sound like a babbling baboon when he was trying to rationalize VA as a #1 seed and Louisville as a #4. If he was asked to rationalize NcSt over SMU, he would probably shart himself.

Ron Wellman was chairman of the NCAA tournament. He is also the Wake Forest AD.

Lol NC state never plays anyone OOC in any sport. Except for us of course...and they'd rather not.

Wichita State's best 3 RPI Victories
School (RPI) Score
at St. Louis (27) 70-65
BYU (31) 75-62
vs Tennessee (42) 70-61
Everything else is 71+
NOtice, not one top 25 victory. I just wish these selection committees had more consistency when they do this OR at least just admit that sometimes they are speaking outside both sides of their mouths.

RE: Weak OOC Schedule Was Overlooked Here
NC Central is good team. They were UC's opening game this season and are legit.

I can't justify NC State's resume other than three road wins over top 50 teams. The problem with that is they also were just 6-12 against the top 100. Add in two bad losses and I have no idea how they made the tournament. That being said they have a solid chance to beat Xavier and St. Louis.

Weak OOC Schedule Was Overlooked Here
Every ACC school that has won both the regular season title and conference tournament in the same year has received a #1 seed in the NCAA tournament. It would have been harder for them to rationalized UVA As a number 2.

Not that it means much, but NCCU and EKU won their conference tournaments. FGCU was tied for first in the ASun and lost to Mercer, who they tied with in the ASun tourney. The rest of it is rightfully not very good.

If you don't have a representative on the selection committee watch yourself proceed to get screwed.

However scheduling teams like that you can't expect them to win anything. It doesn't say kudos for scheduling tough games.
