A few Panther fans got kicked out of the arena per AJC Twitter.
Awesome. We Suck.

Where is the picture? Your boys tighten up post season, its easy to do this time of year, go
This game was an afterthought. I just watched Clemson get 3 shots at a basket as 3 Panthers stood there.

Panama, I hope you are wrong. If a player doesn't want to give it his all, especially in post season, put him on the bench and put someone in who at least cares. Many teams and players would love to be playing post season ball.

I think they just ran out of gas after playing an overtime emotional game on Sunday.

It is an invitational tournament. If players and coaches thought of the NIT as an after thought, maybe they should have just turned down the automatic invitation. They can't force you to go play.

Don't let 2 games ruin an incredible season. There is more pressure in post season play. You lose and you're out.

Good season!

I went to work out and turned the tv infront of my treadmill on to the game to watch the last 8 minutes. they looked utterly unmotivated and like they just didnt want to be there.

I remember watching clemson miss a layup, miss it again, and miss it again, before finally making it in while 3 panthers just stood next to the net and kind of watched this dude get his own rebound over and over

hate it for you guys, it sucks as a fan when you see that

How is that any different than on Sunday? GSU is just a bad rebounding team and they ran into two schools that bang the boards. I don't buy the fact they didn't really care. They got out played at the end of both games. If not they just choked. It's one of the two.

It was different. You could just tell. I remember another instance where one panther just stood under the basket after he missed a lay up with a callous look on his face, and clemson ran down the court.

This isn't the same GSU team I saw all year. But, in the end, I think Clemson was just the better team. They were more athletic and Mcdaniels played like a man amongst boys.

Great season by Georgia State. Clemson was a tough draw. Fringe NCAA team that shouldn't have been a 3 seed in the NIT.

I'd rather believe that GaState ran into two teams that matched up well with them and in the end, it cost them the game. I suspect most Cajun fans felt as I did....and was that IF we could get by WKU, we'd have a good shot at beating the Panthers.

I'm a bit suspicious too of the claim that the Panthers ran out of gas against Clemson. If anyone should have run out of gas it should have been the Cajuns. They'd played two games before facing GaState, one of them an emotional one point win over an arch-enemy. GaState on the otherhand had cruised past stAte.

And while I understand the disappointment of losing that title game in overtime, a well-coached team would still be up for the next game. I believe that GaState was a well-coached team.

...on Friday to Duke... by 1. No offense to UL, but there are miles of difference in between teams that lose to Duke by 1 and UL by 1. We were tight. Harrow and Washington were chirping at each other again. We just weren't focused.

Hmmm. Lots of comments by Panther fans that you guys weren't ready for the game. That then is a coaching issue, something I thought all season would never be a problem for the team.

Of course, I felt that coaching cost GaState the title game.....trying to slow down the tempo with a good lead and 4 or 5 minutes to play.

No offense but there are miles between gsu and Clemson athletics. A lot more miles than between Ul and duke

As did I. Coach did a good job all season, but he kinda pulled a Bobby Cox at the end.

I agree that Harrow was outcoached at the end of the title game, but I give Bob Marlin credit for having a part in the "slow down". He changed to a zone to cut out some of the easy paths to the basket about the 5 minute mark in the game, and I don't think GaState adjusted very well.

RE: GSU playing Clemson in NIT
i saw 2 big factors that caused ga state to lose the game and neither were 'gassed'. imo.

ga state has lived off of their guards going around folks all year. every time they got around someone in the clemson game kj mcdaniels erased them.

the zone ga state played gave us fits. but clemson would pass it around the perimeter and their guards were quick enough to split the zone at will and take it right at the rack. when they missed ga state's weakness at rebounding the ball hurt them double as clemson would get a stickback on the miss.

clemson's quickness on the outside also rushed some shots by hunter jr. although i've seen him hit several rushed shots this year. he wasn't hitting them last night.

clemson's quickness and spring hurt ga state down low all game.

on an unrelated note....how come the south al jagwires couldn't snatch a legacy like kj mcdaniels? was he that big of a recruit out of high school? did he even give the jags a look?

Yeah...and Clemson had the entire weekend (plus Monday) to get over the loss to Duke and get their legs fresh...there's a difference there alone.

It doesn't matter. I'm proud of these guys and I'm going to miss these seniors.

I think the announcers said he wasn't highly recruited.
