NIT Selections / Predictions for 2014 Tourney
Just speculation
I think the following along with others will be in the NIT. If the Schools feel it is in their best interest.

NIT
Davidson Wildcats (20-12, 15-1 Southern)
Belmont Bruins (24-9, 14-2 OVC)
LA Tech (27-7 13-3 CUSA)
Southern Miss. (Southern Miss 27-6 13-3 CUSA )
Florida Gulf Coast Eagles (22-12, 14-4 A-Sun) * (last year PR)
Southern Methodist (3-9 Green 12-6 AAC) .
Georgia State (25-8 17-1 SBC)
Clemson (20-12 10-8 ACC)
Green Bay (24-6 14-2 Horizon)

Just a few for the CIT... speculation

CIT
UTEP (23-10 12-4 CUSA)
MTSU (27-7 13-3 CUSA)
ECU (17-16 5-11 CUSA) @ (last year Champ)

Six (6) CUSA teams in Post season plus any CBI selections? Next year will be better for CUSA. There is a lot of up-side for this conference in all sports (Football, Men's and Women's Basketball, Soccer, Baseball. CUSA will be very competitive. The future is bright.

The powers that be will put all the c-usa teams in the same bracket so we exterminate each other.

with TN getting an NCAA bid, I'm thinking MTSU has a shot, but it depends on what happens with a team like Indiana and Minnesota.

NIT doesn't look that great with so many regular season champs not making the NCAA tournament

No, you might turn down a CBI/CIT offer to host, but not an NIT invite. In fact, you take a CBI/CIT if you're on the road, because it doesn't cost you anything. But you don't pay to host a tourney game.

Actually, that's the one thing the NIT has going for it this year.. a lot of those teams that were good over the long haul of a full season, not teams that just happened to win 3 to 5 games in a row.

You would NEVER turn down an NIT bid. That is insane. It is the next-best thing to the NCAAs, and I wouldn't dream of MT doing such a thing. If they did I would be vehement.
