The A-10 is a tough league. VCU, St. Louis, GW, St. Joseph's, UMass. GW's RPI at 29 is better than Memphis's 34. The game will be good and the results can go eiter way. Depends on which Memphis team shows up.

We've played and beaten a whole lot of teams better than any of those guys. Doesn't mean an auto-W, but of all the teams we could have been paired with out of the gate, I would have taken any of those A10 teams.

LOL. GW has some pretty good guards. It looks like a good matchup. That being said, we'd rather play you guys than any other 8 seed. Y'all probably feel the same about us.

Hate being a 8/9, but love the UVA as a number 1. And really like the game being in Raleigh. We were afraid we'd get Duke in Raleigh in the second round.

If the GW that held McDermott to 7 points or blew out VCU shows up, it will be a game. If the GW that lost to LaSalle shows up, y'all will have an easy game of it.

Yea, our fanboard is pretty old school.

You knew someone would think something like this was original.

The old back in 1975 we were overlooked nonsense.

Has ZERO to do with Friday's game. Memphis is good, GW is good- team that plays better wins. Who is UAB possibly overlooking?

Have not looked at their players- but at their results...they are pretty good based on those.

Solid Non conference wins over:
@ Manhattan
Creighton in LA
Maryland in I believe a neutral game for nearby schools
Georgia

In conference they beat solid teams in:
VCU
St. Josephs
UMass

Their 8 season losses:
Marquette 92 in LA
@ KState 51
@ LaSalle 98
@ Dayton 43
@ VCU 13
UMass 22
@ St. Louis 27
VCU A10 tourney

This will be a tough game.

8 players average 10 minutes or more.

Creek is their leading scorer 14.3
Armwood leading rebounder 8.5
They outrebouned opponents by about 4 per game.
Creek and Mikik are their big 3 point shooters- especially Creek who averages more then 2.5 made per game. Team shoots 37% from three. Memphis 34%.
They have 453 assists and 133 blocks for the year.
Memphis had 556 assists and 152 blocks for the year for comparison- although that is not a surprise since we are one of the national leaders in assists per game.

Of course not in the last game when the team shot 26%.

Underdog teams tend to show up "big" in the Dance regardless of what their fans think.

We can analyze this to death. We're gonna kick their ass. After the humiliation Thursday I have a feeling we're going to go insane on these guys. A bunch of nobodies. After that we kick Virgina's ass too. Virgina was not a typo.

Love your optimism but if we are lucky to get past GW, Virgina is going to kick our ass.

Like he did with the Louisville re-match. Damien Wilson got over 6 minutes in that game I believe. I'm 99.9% certain the Louisville staff didn't spend more than 30 seconds analyzing Wilson when forming their game plan. Pastner really frustrated Pitino in that game with some of the matchups he was putting on the court.

Our very own 310 lb. Euro stepping finger rolling Dwayne Wade would be good to try too to confuse them.
