I don't think SMU got screwed at all. The committee never awards teams with horrible non-conference SOS if they are squarely on the bubble.

The Midwest is just loaded and some of the seeding makes no sense. A-10 is oveseeded, how does SLU and VCU get 5 seeds and Umass a 6?
