Not really germain except to point heredity, but Coach Norton played a couple years of minor league baseball.

Of course he still looks like Principal Strickland from Back to the future.

I like his quickness, his dribbling, his shot from 10 ft out to NBA land, and ,, well, sign him up.

The "Top Gun" movie has outlived the F-14 fighter that was its star performer. They are now in museums or in an Arizona "boneyard". Or sitting on Iranian runways waiting for spare parts.

He reminds me of some of what I saw from KC Whitaker when he first arrived at UAB.

I reallly hope we get this kid. Exactly the type of guy we need coming in to run the point-prototypical point guard who can handle the ball and pass, can shoot the 3, can drive and dish, and should have a high basketball IQ being a coach's son.

But who knows what he could have eventually become sans injury.

True. I don't think he gets a Creighton offer before his injury if he's not a good player though. Plus he seems to have recovered from that injury pretty well in leading his team to the state championship.

I was referring to Whitaker's career ending injury.
