Wow, impressive win against the fighting turds to win the MAC. Are these guys for real? how far might they go in the tournament?

They have a great inside and outside threat, but I don't think they are good enough on defense. They also can be turned over by trapping pressure. I don't see them winning a game in the NCAA Tourney. But, they are the best the MAC has this year.

I think it all depends on the seed we get. I would hope we'd get at least a 13, but wouldn't be surprised with a 15. This team plays with poise, they execute well, and they've got a ton of composure. I think they can win a game in the tourney.

I think worse case is a 14, there have been a bunch of upsets in the really small conferences which has resulted in a lot of teams in the 15/16 seed lines that are really not any good at all. That should prevent WMU from dropping below a 14, and I don't think a 13 is out of the question.

Kind of reassuring to measure NIU against this MAC champion. NIU was outplayed and came up just short in DeKalb, but would have won in K-Zoo with only bad and not horrendous officiating. WMU has the best balance in the league, that is usually what wins it.

It's too bad they lost Stainbrook, who is All Big East for Xavier.

What happened to the West/East football/basketball dichotomy? A West champ in bball and East in fball.

There is nothing on WMU's website about them winning the championship yet lol

Honestly... I had tears. Yes, I hate Toledo (who doesn't?)... but I was all about everything, upset, fired up, etc...

... and we won. WOW. Brown *sucked* last game but holy cow did he make up for it.

God help us all.

Didn't see the game, but man they whooped Rocket ass.

Good luck broncos. Toledo now hasn't been in the tourney for 35 years hahahahaha.

Somehow PJ being there helped.

it's too bad they also lost darius paul, mac freshman of the year in 2012-13 before he "big timed" the Broncos and transferred to Illinoi where his older brother Brandon played. Had Darius Paul stayed, WMU would have been a top 25 caliber team. That said, as good as he is, he transfered to a school where the coach will probably recruit guys better than him. I'm sure Darius Paul will be good, and probably start for Illinois, but not dominant as he could have become in the MAC. Kind of reminiscent of Kenny Battle taking his ball and leaving NIU for Illini back in the day.

The thing I like about WMU is that they really seem like a "throwback" team to me. Does that make any sense lol

Stainbrook's scholarship wasn't renewed. His weight and attitude were an issue. Hawkins said goodbye and showed him the door.

Paul and Howard are different stories. Nobody at WMU wanted either to leave.

WMU can score like crazy, and that means they have a chance to beat anybody....or if they are off, get blown away by anybody.

They gave Mizzou a good game.
