No one is discounting Wichita St, I certainly am not but I do believe that matchup-wise that the Tigers have a good chance of beating them better than other teams in the tournament if they bring their A game. Same goes with Arizona after closely observing them and how they do disappear offensive wise at times and how they struggle on the inside and shoot bad FTs like us at times. We most certainly can come in and stink it up and play lackadaisical in the first game or second game and lose but all we're talking about is the opportunity and the chance of winning based on the matchups and that's all one can ask right now

Those trying to discredit WSU based on their schedule should remember that their roster contains invaluable final four experience. Remember Butler?

Memphis first round opponent is going to be really good- and a potential second round opponent is going to be elite. That would be a bit less so if Memphis was a 5-6 seed but not really that much less so than the likely 7-9- and as the newest brackets keep coming in on bracket matrix, we are trending with more 9s.
We will likely be in the New York (East) or the Indianapolis (MW) region because we cannot play in the Memphis region and the West- Anaheim- has the same Thursday Saturday as the Memphis region does. They would want to avoid the home team potentially playing a televised game at the same time as the hosted regionals.
Do not know if that means we are more likely to be in a Friday Sunday first game pod though as teams often go from one to the other if they make the Sweet 16 (play Fri Sun then Thursday Saturday).
The Friday Sunday sites are Raleigh, San Antonio, San Diego and St. Louis. Thursday Saturday are Buffalo, Milwaukee, Orlando and Spokane.
Here is to a Friday night in St. Louis baby!!

You know...I'm not gonna fret over where we are seeded, because I don't have a clue which team is gonna show up with this group. I am certain that I am going to be disappointed in what I see eventually..

Agree...no fretting...although again...
Friday night in St. Louis- makes it eminently easier to go.

They are not as good as we were in 2008, but they are far and away better than we are this year. Florida, Arizona, and WSU have separated themselves from the rest of the country. Those are easily the 3 best teams in CBB right now.
But we'd beaten Gonzaga/UConn/Georgetown/USC that year. WSU hasn't beaten any one of note. Tennessee is their best win? I'm not saying they can't or won't make a run because they made one last year and have that experience. Just saying, while going 34-0 is impressive and well deserving of a #1 seed, their schedule is not impressive.

Tennessee might be their 3rd best win. They won at Saint Louis and BYU.

UL is hot, but they aren't #1 seed hot. Even Pitino said he doesn't think they'll get it.
