I just heard a couple of analystu say we would be a 9 or 10..hhmmm and One had us playing N. Carolina in a 8-9 matchup..

Any analyst that believes UNC will be anywhere near the 8 line needs to remove their head from their arse. UNC may have screwed the pooch in their last game, but they have 11 top 100 wins, an RPI of 25 and an SOS of 18. They will likely be somewhere between a 3-6.

Memphis struggles with teams that like to slow it down, Louisville doesn't play slow down, they like to run for the most part.

Memphis struggles with teams that have strong interior physical presence, Louisville only has 1 physical presence and thats Harrell. Van Treese is pretty much a stiff

Memphis struggles with teams that prevent their guards from driving the ball, Louisville struggles with opposing guards driving the ball

Memphis struggles with teams that have long lengthy forwards that can extend the floor, Louisville only had 1 that that Hancock at 6-5

Its about matchups. Period

Thankfully for us! We would be close to the bubble if we lost both of those games. I think we would still get in but it would be an 11 at best

Mostly matchups, imho. UM beats UL twice. UL beats UConn three times. UConn beats UM three times. As folks on the board have said many times, the transitive property just doesn't work in sports.

After that screwjob at home we got last season...we had several guys remember that.
Although Dixon and Austin weren't on that team...they played a huge part of both of those wins too.
