Tulsa and Houston could very well get to the NCAAs on a regular basis. And USF is a wild card, pending their coaching search. I think we can expect anywhere from 4-6 bids per year.
Don't forget Tulsa.

I didn't. Read it again.

sure i do. i know temple will be back, smu has the money to be a solid program if they remain committed after larry brown leaves. tulsa is a historically good program that has been through a rough stretch - they need mainly just some coaching continuity. houston has the local talent base but the school has to step up. now can a florida school do it? history shows only the gators have put together a national program but with the resources in that state, its a mystery why no one else has

I would say no...only due to the fact that a lot of wins for the top 5 came from that dreadful bottom 5. Bottom of the conference improves (fingers crossed) there will be a few more losses on the resumes of the teams at the top which could push some into NIT land.

I think we can be a 5 bid league every year.. May be more.. But conference has to put in some rules for ooc scheduling. Every team in the conf req to have a ooc rpi rating in the top 75 .. Some rule.. I just want to prevent rpi watered down come conference play. Plus it makes our product grow.. Better schedule.. Better rating..better attendance.. Better receuting.. More money..

We had Louisville this year, the biggest name in the conference, and we got 4 in. And you think that without the Ville going forward, we can be a *5* bid league?

Really?

I hope Georgetown makes a deep run in the tournament. Oh wait...

It would have a been a good year for them to make the tourney though - no Florida Gulf Coast in the field...
