Congratulations, Tulsa! It has been too long since Tulsa has been in the NCAA tournament. Good to see them back in it.

Its not just about losing it to La Tech. I just believe that SMU's profile isn't that great. They are true a bubble team sitting in one of the last spots at the moment; however, every year there are screwy mid-major teams that get spots and few undeserving major conference teams too. Usually it comes to who is in the room and what metric committee values more than others.

If you like non-conference SOS, road wins, overall RPI, then stay away from SMU. If you like conference record and really big victories than the Mustangs are your team.

It would be sad if a second C-USA school joined Tulsa, while SMU is left out. Remember Tulsa is leaving for the American, wouldn't it be nice if the C-USA associate commissioner allowed one of their returning teams into the tournament.

No, CougarRed has claimed twice today that Louisiana Tech was a candidate to steal SMU's bid if Louisiana Tech lost today. It won't happen.

Where did I say that? I think Tulsa might have stolen SMU's bid.

Because if LaTech won today, I think CUSA would only get 1 team in the Dance. With Tulsa winning, I think there's a greater chance CUSA gets 2 bids - with the 2nd bid going to either Southern Miss or La Tech.

Fortunately for SMU, the St. Bonaventure threat was eliminated today. SMU pulling for Duke to beat NC St.

BTW - I want SMU to get a bid. I want our league to get five bids.

If LaTech won today, they could have moved to top 50 in RPI. Which would have given USM another top 50 win. Which would have helped them in.

Bonnies are out. Now Go Duke, our fellow Methodist school.

I'm glad a team leaving was able to capture the title, however, I would have preferred ECU be the one to do it. Once they were eliminated I became a Tulsa/Tulane fan. Now I hope UConn wipes the floor with Louisville, because I don't want to see a defector win the AAC.

Congrats Tulsa. I hope Tulane gets a new coach and we can be competitive with you in the AAC soon.

How about Dayton-Cincinnati and UConn-Providence in 12-5 games.
