Bad for CUSA.

The talk about Tulsa in the tournament wont be any credit to CUSA with them being defector.

Next year UAB or USM needs to finally win, they are the only two left of the founding CUSA members, yet they have never won..

Every person to ever win the CUSA tournament has left CUSA.
Charlotte rejoined, and are the only team in the entire conference that has ever won the tournament.

Future looks decent.
WKU, MTSU, USM, & LTU are a good group of schools.

best of luck.

The nicest way I can put this is by saying that geographically, UTEP should be in the MWC.

What happened today has completely devalued what Southern Mississippi and Louisiana Tech did during the regular season. Tulsa isn't our best team, but they captured lightning in a bottle and are headed to the Big Dance. It's stupid. I really feel for USM and LTU, our two best teams.

Here is the way I look at it. We are still in CUSA and so are the other teams who played for the title this season. We came out of the tournament as the winner and will now defend the conference we are in the best we can. So, in effect, we are now playing for every team and program in CUSA and will do our best and fight as hard as we can to represent ALL the teams in it. So we'd love your support. This is a very good parting present for us and will be remembered for many years and we appreciate the opportunities CUSA gave us.

We humbly thank you for accepting us as a member of CUSA and want to keep our ties with all our friends in the years to come.

This is absolutely ludicrous. By any possible reading of the rules, Tulsa was deserving as anyone else -- regular season co-champ and they won the tournament. Only one team, Southern Miss, even had a glimmer of hope for an at large.

It sounds like you have something against Tulsa, alright. And you're willing to say crazy stuff as a result. LOL. We won.

Louisville is just that good...remember they spanked USM by 31. (and we swept them)

I think that used to be true, but not any more.

Other than the Lobos (who UTEP will play anyway in the non- conference), UTEP "geographically" fits CUSA better. Other than NM you have Colorado Springs (650 miles), Fort collins (750 miles) and Las Vegas (750). If you compare that with CUSA there is Denton (700), San Antonio (600) and Houston (700). But the difference is that UTEP is with their Texas "brothers" in CUSA.

We're not going anywhere and Fit should just shut up and go visit his brethren in the pac12 board. Who listens to him anyway? Pffft he's just like that noisy kid in a restaurant where you wish his parents would leave and take him with them.

I seriously love UTEP in cusa and I hope we can make it a contender year after year. We have the history and the schools to do it. I love the fact that we have such a large fan base in central Texas to make a strong showing at the games that are played there.

GO UTEP GO CUSA!

RE: Tulsa Champs of C-USA
Coach Manning had Tulsa playing a tough OOC for reasons other than just upping the RPI. He really wanted it to get Tulsa ready for the conference and Tournament season. Then he made sure the players were ready physically and mentally with the right training. Each week Tulsa got better and it showed. People in conference U-USA have even mentioned this fact. Learn from it.

RE: Tulsa Champs of C-USA
Congrats to Tulsa -

I have never seen someone have 3 straight games like #10 had - he was the difference and literally put that team on his back and carried them to the trophy

Had a great time in UTEP except for the last 10 minutes of the championship game

All the UTEP fans were great ambassadors for their city - really enjoyed my time there

And I'm against cutting anyone from the tourney keep all teams participating if they are eligible
