That would be dirt cheap once you're there, but difficult to travel to even by air.

MSG/Barclays. If you want Barclays, consider MSG your surrogate in the poll.

It is a "destination" vacation city. 04-cheers There is plenty to do when your team isn't playing. It will just take forever to drive from one end to the other.04-cheers They could play in the Alabama Theater.

Chicago makes no sense to me. ND is not that big in Hoops...

I like the idea of NYC every other year and either Gboro or Charlote 2/3rds of the other times and sprinkle in DC and rarely Atlanta to round it out. No to Florida anytime.

I'd like it in Chicago once in a while but not because that would only be 90 miles from ND.

I would like it there to stick a finger in the eye of Jim Delany, the spiteful, long memoried, grudge holding, unforgiving Irishman that I am. :)

RE: A more comprehensive ACC tournament site poll
I could vote for neither of these to be honest. But 4x4 Hokie almost got it.
NYC, Greensboro, Charlotte, and some DC.
ATL is a SEC town even with GT there
and Chicago Why? No ties at all. But I feel you Terry D!
And we tried Florida

As Roy Williams said it should be in Black Mountain in WNC. That's the only option that makes any sense

RE: A more comprehensive ACC tournament site poll
My thoughts:

1. Having it in NC a significant amount of the time makes sense.
2. Having it in Greensboro over Charlotte does not make sense.
3. It should be in NYC as often as it is in NC.
4. If it alternates between Greensboro and Charlotte, they would simply be splitting NC's total share, not adding to it.
5. I don't think there's any need for a FL or Chicago location.
6. DC and Atlanta would be acceptable secondary locations, but aren't necessary.

Overall, something like a 4-year rotation consisting of 2 years in NYC, followed by 2 years in NC would work well, I'd think. And if you wanted to throw DC and Atlanta into the mix, a 10-year rotation of 2 NYC + 2 NC + 1 DC + 2 NYC + 2 NC + 1 ATL would also work.

From a conversation yesterday at the tournament with "people in the know". The tournament will be in Greensboro at least 2 out of every 5 years moving forward.

So Charlotte will get bupkis?

I hope Barclay's gets at least 2 out of 5 too....3 would be better.

I keep trying to tell people, Charlotte isn't really a part of NC. 02-13-banana

If it is going to be 2 out of every 5 years, then it have to be 3 in NYC.

If it's good enough for my high school to hold it's conference tournament there then it's good enough for the ACC.
