1). WMU a 14 seed, because of the slew of weak NCAA teams (upsets in the lower conferences). Toledo might have been a 13 seed.

2). Toledo - NIT. The NIT should be GREAT this year. Tons of good teams. This is NOT the 'hey, we're #65' tourney of old. Lot of NIT teams could beat a lot of the NCAA tourney teams. Hope Toledo gets a shot somewhere down the line at Indiana, IL, Minn. G'Town, Maryland, Marquette, etc. - all teams who have done very well in the NCAAs. Toledo fans hope to get one of them at home, maybe 2nd round?

3). Akron and UB - CBI. CBI is a nice tourney. They could make a run here.

4). EMU (and presumably) Ohio - CIT.

Ohio has a better record and resume than Akron, Buffalo and EMU, they'll probably end up in the CBI.

Sounds like EMU and Ohio have accepted CIT bids too. Hustle Belt just retweeted someone saying as much.

Bad draw for Ohio. I don't know anything about Cleveland State, but I do know the only teams Ohio can beat at home are Miami and Ball State.

RE: MAC Post Season Births
From what I read, White and Hurley thought it best for UB to not take a bid to the lesser two tourneys. It's odd that the best team in the East and the third best team in the MAC is not playing in such a watered down post-season era.

RE: MAC Post Season Births
I can see a team full of seniors who had a dream of playing in the NCAA Tournament really not want to play in the CIT, which they have done twice in their career. What do they have to gain? More games not on TV and more long bus rides?

With young teams these tournaments are good for extra practice time and more games, but I can see why UB would turn down a bid.
