....a "good win" in the eyes of the selection committee but USM won't be worthy of an at-large bid because of whatever reason.

CUSA, with the records, should be a 2-3 bid league.

Yep. For whatever reason, the league doesn't get the same respect as we did when the old folks were around.

Sorry guys, but CUSA never had any chance of getting 2 teams in the tournament. CUSA teams have to do something OOC before 2 or more bids are possible.

Tech's win over Oklahoma would have looked good if they hadn't lost to ECU.

Totally agree. I thought USM should've gotten a bid last year, too. I was at last year's championship game in Tulsa.

It was hard to watch Tyndall's daughters watching the end of the game tonight, the younger one with tears in her eyes. Coaching is a tough profession for a family.

Hope you guys make it next year, if not this year.

Don't agree. We had opportunities to put ourselves in position for an at large bid but we didn't get the job done.

It's like UTEP totally dominating Tennessee in a good win. Yet UTEP sucks, and Tennessee is a solid team.

I know our losses to some teams were not good. But they sure are picky about things....

Oh well, it's their world. And we are at their mercy.

Charlotte is the only team in CUSA that would have gotten an at large bid if their season didn't completely go to Hell. They had some really good OOC wins. UAB beat UNC and Nebraska, but they got blown out by a really bad Temple team.

Tennessee isn't very good either. The SEC only has 1 good team and it sure as Hell is not Tennessee or Kentucky.

USM deserves a bid, no question. Any one of the top 5 teams could make noise in the NCAA's. Guess the league will just have to prove it in the NCAA's and NIT.

You just need to hope that the selection committee doesn't pit the CUSA representative against Memphis, Baylor, SMU, or Oklahoma State in that 8/9 game. You are then going to see the difference between where those conferences are and where CUSA is. There was even a person on this board yesterday saying how top CUSA schools could beat SMU, Memphis or UConn. Schools in CUSA could challenge Memphis and SMU for a little while before Memphis and SMU put their feet on the gas, but no CUSA school would be within 30 points of UConn or did you guys not see what UConn did to Memphis last night in Memphis.

Josh, Josh, Josh,

our boards a sanitarium right now...interesting reading.

We were in either way, same with SMU.

I have to say I'm biased for Tulsa tomorrow.

Hello, we were in the same conference a year ago. Guess Memphis waited until overtime to "step on the gas".
Tool.

So what, you still lost. Hell Memphis played UConn really close in the regular season, but the other night UConn left no doubt about which team was better. UConn put their foot on the gas and Memphis was toast. That was the difference between a championship caliber team (UConn) and a very good team (Memphis). Hell CUSA schools could not even beat Memphis, so what does that tell you about CUSA? Because Memphis is only a middle of the road team in the AAC.

No question about it ECU, Tulane and Tulsa is going to catch Hell. Memphis is good, but they are not in UConn's or Cincy's class. What I am struck by is that Tulsa is completely average in every single respect, but they ended up winning the CUSA Championship after finishing tied for 1st with 3 other teams. Think about that for a second; Tulsa lost to TCU twice, but Tulsa was the best team in CUSA. In case you don't know it TCU is horrible (horrible as in 0-19 in the B12) and despite being the dead last worst team in the B12; TCU managed to beat the CUSA regular season and tournament champion Tulsa team twice. TWICE!!! But there are actually people on this board that think that CUSA deserves a second bid even though the best team in CUSA is leaving for another conference in the 2nd consecutive year.
