In today's semi final between la tech and USM, losing coach has to take the Auburn job

I still think Southern Miss has an outside shot at an at large. It's not a good one, but they are on the bubble for sure. If they lose, we are for sure a one bid league.

I say MTSU and USM win, and MTSU wins the final.

I think MTSU wins this thing. But in the end- does anyone really give two craps? I know I don't.

I care who wins. It's our conference.

Southern Miss has the best RPI at 34. So it's conceivable they could get an at-large bid if they get beat in the conference tourney. However their KenPom rating is 54. La Tech has the best KenPom rating at 37, but their RPI is 68. MTSU is better with an RPI of 59.

I like MTSU to win it.

One of the teams that won yesterday did themselves some damage in the process.

They beat a team (UTEP I believe) that knocked UTEP out of the top 100 RPI and cost them 2 wins against a top 100 rpi team.

Better to win though than to lose.

If UAB isn't winning the tourney, then no, I don't care who wins it. But I did answer the original question.

KenPom has La Tech beating Southern Miss 71-69, and MTSU beating Tulsa 64-63.

I think you're missing my point over a computer.

I will watch the game because I love college basketball. I just don't really care who wins. I don't have a dog in the fight so to say- so I just watch and enjoy the game without really cheering for either team. I just want to see a good competitive game.

I will watch the NCAA tourney and care a little more about who wins when I fill out my brackets. But if team A loses over team B, I won't get upset like I would if UAB lost. That's all I'm saying.

Translation: He has no dog in the hunt but he will still watch the hunt.

LA Tech. If USM makes the finals, though, they will still have a very small chance of an at-large.

Winner of La Tech/Southern Miss

As of yesterday southern miss was still in the "next 4 out" on bracketology, and 2-3 of the teams ahead of them lost. I think they have a chance at an at large. Their resume is a lot like ours in 2011

They are third out from the last 4 in today behind FSU and Minny. I think both those teams Will lose. With their rpi I think think they have a decent shot at an at large

I don't think they have nearly as many Top 100 wins as we had that year.

I just meant in general they have a nice, shiny rpi, without many great wins to back it up

We had 10 top 100 wins that year. Southern Miss is nowhere near that.
