Is it? Crawford is what, fourth, in all time steals as a Tiger? His name is up therewith Perry, Turner, etc.
It's more difficult to provide stats to SUPPORT that Crawford is a poor defender. He's by no means a great defender, but he's not as bad as most say.
Yup. Chris' defensive rating this year is 99.0. Tied with G for the best figure amongst our guards.
FYI, Joes is the worst amongst our guards at 101.9
Thank you for posting facts rather than opinion.
Nick King's defensive rating on the same site is 97.1 and it's better than all the guards . . .
Still like the facts of those ratings?

Haven't caught it (knock on wood) but I hear it is HIGHLY contagious. Pastner was right to send Iverson "home" rather than risk infecting the whole team (not to mention coaching staff and support staff).
I haven't had the norovirus either, but the CDC was very concerned about this strain. But whatever I had so did everybody I came in contact with, don't know if I gave it to them or them to me, but it was really contagious. Definitely don't want your whole team getting it.

I got the noronasty on a Monday, went home at lunch and stayed in bed. Two coworkers missed the next two days. They came back on Thursday. Then from Friday night through the weekend I experienced it again.
To heck with the flu shot, there needs to be one for this strain.

Exactly. Someone started that ish around here 3 or 4 years ago; it's become a common knowledge catch phrase thing.

Nick played 90% of his time at the 4 this year, and his defense there is pretty good.

Very, very good post. We need more posters bringing light to the darkness around here.
+3.
I also didn't know that Joe's rating was that low. Ouch.

Yes I do. Nick doesn't guard the 1 or 2 like Crawford.

RE: Kuran Iverson. Sounds Serious
Cal buried Jeff Robinson on the bench, and Robinson looked infinitely better than Iverson.

If true, who could blame him. Highly recruited freshman and Pastner just buried him early in the year so we could make sure all the seniors got their minutes to try to audition for the NBA.
How'd that work out for everyone?
I just can't see it this way.
He had chances.
To my recollection, nearly every time he'd go in, we'd give up a bucket or a run, or he'd put up an ill-advised shot.
His talent is immense and undeniable. But it would be hard for anyone to say he was "ready for prime time" this season, with a straight face, based on his performance in the games.
Again, lots of talent, lots of gifts, lots of potential. But he was not ready THIS season to help a high-level team.
If we're willing to let seniors go one on three fast breaks, launch ridiculous three pointers with 25 seconds on the shot clock, not play defense, then why should a kid with more talent than all of them not get a chance to develop?
Sorry but I think we screwed the pooch on this one. This kid has way too much talent to be made an example of. Bad examples have been set.
When you have a team that quit like they did last night, the best example you could have set was to sit the starters and let the kids play their guts out.
Iverson may have a stupid basketball IQ at this part of his development(coaches are responsible for that too), but he looked like he was trying when he was in there. If you want to set an example to the entire team then let the kids who play their guts out play. Especially on a team that seems to play when they feel like it.
With some posters you can find a few past posts and cut and paste them, and have a good laugh at them. It is impossible to narrow it down to even your 100 funniest entries. You hit a comedic home run almost every time you post something.

Kuran Iverson. Sounds Serious
I don't know if Kuran was/is sick or not, but I do know this: if he wants to contribute in D1 basketball, he needs to get more serious about it.
