RE: UCONN MISERY MEGATHREAD
One of the callers on the radio had an interesting point. He said the "great coach, great players, we lost because if missed layups" talk is causing josh to lose the fanbase and gives the perception that the fans know more than josh.

I recognize that josh is always trying to be positive, but it's borderline insulting to hear him say "we missed layups" after last nights performance.

embarrassing

Might as well complete the trifecta of embarrassment after an embarrassing loss and embarrassing post-game interviews.

I don't buy the idea that all the big boosters are 100% behind Pastner. I've heard from some that they're dissatisfied.

RE: UCONN MISERY MEGATHREAD
Here's the problem. Unless Austin turns into an All-American and Shaq becomes a complete monster we aren't going to be nearly as good next year. For certainty, not as good as we are this year. This isn't about what he's done (none of us are happy with that), this is about what's coming. If he doesn't get to the 2nd weekend with this group it's going to be until the Lawson kids are here that he does. That's too long. Recruiting will take a hit if we aren't in second weekend and so we might as well cut it down now instead of suffering through more mediocrity. But I know that isn't going to happen. We are going to keep him one more year and our chance at Pearl will be gone.

This post is null and void if Pastner makes miraculous run in Tournament.

I read on here good programs only go to the sweet 16 once every 10 years. We have time.

Picked a helluva time to put up a colossal turd of a performance...

But, I have a hard time believing all these players, especially seniors will want to be remembered as a team that shtt the bed.

Nothing to do but check back in two weeks and see where the Tigers are.

The tourney is a new season and provides the chance for teams to rewrite destiny.

I'm not saying this team will...just saying the field has not been as wide open in years. Anything is possible.

I'll say this if last night didn't piss some of these guys off to the point where they are angry then not sure what will.

I know is I was on the team it would've infuriated me that we just played that way in front of our own fans

SLU has been in a nose dive as well.

Lost to the Bonnies today, and they're playing their way back to a mid range seed.

I know everyone is going to disagree with me but right now I want a team on that will force us to play slow. The reason I want that is lately we have been playing way too fast.

In the Cincinnati game a week ago we looked our best when we slowed down on offense

Did Calipari go 0-3 against anyone with the last game a blowout while ranked in the Top 25 ?

Finch lost 4 to Cincy, with Penny.

Took Kirk 3 years to make the tourney. And amazingly when Keith Lee showed up we got really good. Great coaching.
Kirk cheated.

Took Cal 6 years to make the Tourney. And amazingly when the Laurenburg Prep crew showed up we got really good. Great coaching.
Cal cheated.

But don't let facts get in the way of emotion.

It did not take X. 6 years to make the tourney. His 6th year was an Elite 8 season. It was the beginning of Elite 8, Elite 8, National Runner Up, Sweet 16. He made 2-3 NCAA tournaments before this but through 5 seasons only won one tournament game.
