We have shown we can compete with ANYBODY in the conference...

BUT I couldnt agree more with this. Tomorrows game will be our 4th game in what ? 6 days ? Thats a tough stretch.

Yep, Monday was kind of a 'laugher' (not a blowout but still a game to play players), but not last night or tonight.

Our hope is that Toledo is rusty being off six days. That can cut both ways.

The 'best scenario' is to be a 3 or 4 seed, win the quarters and advance to the semis (well, it didn't happen for UB) in tourney form.

RE: Toledo
I only worry about Talley's legs. He played quite a bit tonight.

I don't think anyone else played over 30 minutes. Maybe Harrison? Could be wrong, for I haven't seen numbers for that yet, but we used our bench quite well.

RE: Toledo
Damn, I should be in Cleveland.

I wanted to go Wednesday (6 hour drive from D.C.) but the weather was frightful (even though the hoops inside the Q has been delightful).

My plan was to stay as long as the team stays.

I'm off to Vegas Monday so things would have gotten hairy if we make the finals.

Talley & GBIII with 30 min, and Riley with 34. it seemed like Riley was sitting more than just 6 minutes. apparently not.

But I like the guts of this team so far in the tourney they need to carry it the rest of the way over the finish line and onto the NCAAs.

RE: Toledo
According to today's Sagarins (predictor ratings for each team), Toledo would be an 1/2 point favorite on a neutral court.

Two big imponderables:

1). Will EMU be leg weary?

2). Will the Rockets be rusty not having played in 150 hours?

RE: Toledo
If we do what we did yesterday...limit turnovers, make free throws, and lock down the paint defensively...I think this game is winnable. Buffalo made 13 threes and STILL couldn't beat us, because of those things.

We locked the paint down big time in the first Toledo game. Boothe, Weatherspoon, and Pearson all couldn't shake Riley and Bryant. Second game...not so much. Let Juice, Drummond, and Jonathan Williams take all the threes they want. If we neutralize their paint presence, we will be fine.

Good luck tonight, guys. EMU played great last night. Would love to see an all Michigan championship game tomorrow. But for that to happen both have to win tonight.

Go Hurons, Go Broncos.

Agreed.

Just be careful with Juice. He can hurt you the most because of his ability to penetrate.

The odds site I use for finding odds has Toledo a 2 1/2 point favorite. That is an opening line.

Yep. Also, Akron opens as a 1.5 point favorite against WMU. Surprising.
