RE: Toledo
I got a serious question:
Could Ward put on 15 - 20 lbs during the off season and play the '4' (a real stretch 4) in Murphy's system.
Could we see Ward, Price, Lee and Talley at those four positions? (that is a lot of shooters!!!).

Let me toss this idea out.
If you give 100% on defense do you have anything left for offense?
If a player (or team) gives 100% on offense do they have anything left on defense?
Maybe it is an area of EMPHASIS. (hint: look at the Super Bowl. One team emphasizes offense and the other defense and defense usually wins. That certainly was true in this year's Super Bowl.)
Are there any teams top 10 in both offense and defense?
defense is definitely an area of emphasis, but that doesn't mean you can't pay attention to offense. and anyway, a more relevant question is - can a MAC team be the top defensive team and have a top 5 offense. the answer is "yes", and that is what Murphy should work towards.

i really think Ward will play the 4 next year regardless of how much weight he puts on. defensively, he'll be doing the same job. on offense, i picture more cutting through the lane, as opposed to camping out behind the arc so much. our options at the 4 are Ward and maybe Price, who has a JaQuan Hart-style build. at the 5 we only have Ajayi, who will frustrate us next year with hints of talent hampered by fouling out after 15 minutes. needless to say, we need some front court help.

I agree. Price will be the front court gunner. Camping behind the three point line.
Ward more of a stretch four. Less bulk than GB III but will be able to go inside or shoot anywhere.
I see more games next year not won so much on defense but which will be won or loss depending on the three point bombers.
This means we'll beat some teams we shouldn't and when the 3-ball isn't falling, CMU might beat us...

RE: Toledo
We still have the guards that love to attack. Our best offense will still be in transition where no one can run with Talley. Depending on how Murphy works the minutes, I could see Darell Combs leading this team in scoring. I think he has a lot of room to grow. Hopefully he stops settling for bad threes when he isn't open.
