AAC Tournament attendance
I hope it picks up some. I have been shocked how few Louise and Cindy fans have been in the stands so far. It is almost tip off for the Cindy game against UCF and there can't be more than a few hundred Bearcat fans here. I guess AAC fan bases just are not excited about this event, especially the former Big East schools that are used to playing their tournaments in MSG.

RE: AAC Tournament attendance
I would imagine the weekend games will be better attended, but still pretty sad. Although I too was kinda hoping to see the Tigers at MSG....

RE: AAC Tournament attendance
People work, as you know. Rabid fans take the extended weekend off to attend. From tonight's game, through Sat., I think (hope) (believe) the crowds get big and loud. As for the 'former' Big East teams, they can all take a collective, under-acheivement hike around their rosary.

They probably assumed they would make the trek down in the morning. No reason to hustle and watch Rutgers and UCF, (well shouldn't have been for UCF)

With the Tiger flame out the attendance will be crap for the semis and the final.

Very weak crowd for the Tiger game. Upper deck was 80-85% empty.

With the emphasis on the NCAA Tournament unfortunately conference tourneys have been relegated to pretty much non essential status.

I'd be surprised if we got it next year. With a league so spread out it's hard to make it where opposing fans can travel.

We should try Tampa. A tourist destination. Could make for a fun/warm weekend. Other than that, Memphis is about the most central for all teams. Now, if you were to pick a site that would be the most central for the schools with the largest fan bases, Memphis, Cincy, uconn & temple, then Cincy is the best location. Just please, don't ever pick Tulsa. They don't even show for their own team.

We had our shot and showed that we don't deserve it.

I don't think we showed that. I believe we have a logistics problem just like with cusa. We've chosen to spread it out even more with Tulsa & Tulane, as opposed to adding regional foes. Who those foes should be, I don't know. UMASS is the best I can come up with.

FWIW the Ole Miss UGa game was almost an empty arena and that was played in Atlanta.
