@ dbackjon - Just because people disagree with gay marriage doesn't mean they have homophobia. If that was the case, they would break into sweats, start hyperventilating, get chills down their spine, and begin convulsing everytime they came in close contact with a homosexual. Racism and Civil Rights are 180 degrees apart from gay marriage. Choosing to like men, as a man, is a choice. Coming out of your mother's womb with black skin is not a choice. Gays aren't forbidden to eat, sleep, drink, get an education, or walk amongst straight people. The gay rights movement is an agenda that has no purpose other than to destroy what straight people have had for hundreds and even thousands of years. The Civil Rights movement was necessary in making those with black skin equal to those with white skin so nobody had to drink, eat, sleep, walk, or get educated in segregated areas.

I'd like to know the last time you were kicked out of a resaurant for being gay, or forced to drink from another fountain for being gay, or sleep in a different area for being gay. Did you go to school with straight people or were you forced to go to a gay school? I've seen bars that were specifically labeled for gay people, but I've never seen one specifically labeled for straight people.

I've represented two lesbians in breakups of relationships, and in both cases substantial assets were involved. Both times the judge called lawyers for both sides into chambers and said basically, "You come up with something you can live with, because I don't have a clue what the law is." Whatever you think about morality, that is not an acceptable legal situation.

But, couldn't the couple go back to the state that licensed the marriage. Why should another state be responsible to create a solution to something another state created? And that goes for many other things too. And if they aren't married, then why is the court even involved?

Their ONLY goal is to destroy the foundation that was built by normal people.

Damn you are ******* ignorant. You have no clue about marriage, history, or what is normal, do you?

Um, yes? I do. Marriage unites a man and a woman. History has had it that way for thousands of years because that's what's been normal for thousands of years. You must think gay marriage is something that's been around in the history books for thousands of years... And you wonder why people make fun of you. Hell, you think that people who disagree with gay marriage are homophobes lol... Talk about being clueless... WHEW.

Civil Rights for Gays has won - you guys are just too ignorant to realize it.

However if a Gay couple marries in Iowa and wishes to get divorced in Alabama, they cannot.

Its a pretty straightforward case of discrimination.

And if a woman legally practices prostitution in Nevada or smokes pot in Colorado, why can't she do so in other states?

I disagree whole-heartedly that it is a case of discrimination, because as far as the new state is concerned... all she has to do to 'not be married anymore' is nothing, because in their eyes, she never was.

I haven't read the next page of this thread, but I do foresee you being told, by some fagtivist, that you can't compare prostitution and weed to homos. J/S

I'm not. I'm comparing choices that are legal in one state and not in others.

Oh poor little babies, this is so horrible to find out about. Lynchings? Conservative bigot demonizations? Oh the horrors you face daily there in Huston gay night clubs, jumping around every night in your cowboy boots to the rave music. You should move to Egypt and pretend to be a Christian. Much safer for you there.

How many gays are lynched per year in the U.S.? Must be that the highly biased national anti-gay press doesn't care about reporting it, and that's the reason no one is hearing about all these gay lynchings going on everywhere.

Nope.

The reason gays are perceived to be wealthy, is because they are. Per capita, they have 20% more disposable income than the average American. Must be the special preferential treatment they receive by employers?

For example, how much money do you make, Uncle Tom? You've talked about your wonderfully trystfully vacations in other countries. It must be hard to pull that off with so low wages as you make.

Could you please stop with all the flaming drama queen antics, Tommie gunsies?

Yea, the straight case was one of a daughter not wanted to get into trouble telling her dad, "no, I don't know who that guy is" and the dad blasting some guy he thought was an intruder.

The other case was a clear case of a father deciding that he'd rather kill his ADULT daughter than have her live with her partner.

Two lives gone. Both just as valuable. And yet, you try to make the homosexual's life worth more than the non-homosexual's by some convoluted reasoning?

Shame on you, Uncle Tom.

Again, please just stop with your drama queen act.
